Skin Like Velvet!!!!
Saw this foundation recommended on YouTube and investigated it on various sites. Found all rave reviews. Just had to try it. Wore it today and absolutely love it. My skin is normal/slightly dry and I wanted coverage but not a mask or a really dry look. This covered all my pores and any sunspots but left a soft velvety finish that looked so pretty and natural. Please don't ever discontinue this foundation. It is perfect and worth the price!

How it performs on oily vs. normal vs. dry
I use shade 1 Fair Beige.
I’ve waited a couple of months in order to give this review the time it deserves.
In the 4/5 months I have been using this my skin has gone from extremely oily and acne-prone, through to normal, and now to very dry and dehydrated – yet clear. This progression is due to medication for acne, not the foundation, but has given me a chance to review this on several different skin types and give a very well-round, and hopefully helpful review.
When my skin was oily/broken out I had some issues with this. Mainly due to the very high expectations I had from my internet research. It was meant to look like my skin but perfect, like I wasn’t wearing any foundation… not quite. It was a definite improvement over my cheap, high street brand but didn’t appear to be worth the considerable cost (especially for a poor student). The problem was that it did not conceal my redness quite as well as I was hoping for, and my skin texture was still pretty uneven. But still a good foundation, had I not read the other glowing review I probably would have been satisfied.
Fast forward to normal skin… still redness (inflammation from old spots mainly), but much smoother skin… and the foundation looked and applied so much better. My mother didn’t believe I had foundation on, I didn’t believe I had foundation on, no one believed I had foundation on, I was worried that I was going to have to scrape together the money much sooner that I’d thought. The trick I learnt at this point was to build it up in very thin layers; if you go in with one thick layer it will not look good. Having tried it with a brush, my fingers and a makeup sponge, I would plump for fingers. It isn't obvious why, somehow it just looks more natural that way.
This situation is similar with my dry skin, (although I’m only 18 I had some fine, dehydration lines). Still looks great, enough cover… natural! The only major difference is that you need to give it some time. Unlike with normal skin you can’t just slap it on and be done with it. Even the thinnest layer will look horrible at first. Tips: moisturize first so that your skin doesn't suck the moisture out, DO NOT USE A PRIMER (this foundation has a lot of silicones in it already and it can ball up very easily/just look bad if you do) and after applying it just leave it. For like 10 minutes. Get a cup of tea, do your brows, whatever. But give it 10 minutes before you look too close. Otherwise all you will see are pores. And pores. And pores. But after some time, perfect.
Now I’ve fallen in love I’m obviously nervous about running out. I mean, it’s very expensive, not in relation to the other foundations in the line, but even to other high end foundations. And the cap leaks. Every time I open it I can’t help but think “that’s 10p that won’t make it to my face,’. But having said that I am going through it quite slowly, firstly I don’t wear foundation if I don’t have too (to help my skin), and secondly I only use this for things that I judge as “important”. Now my skin is better the cheaper stuff works alright.
While I definitely recommend this, I do not recommend this as an everyday foundation, have a backup. Something that looks alright and your skin doesn't react to.
P.S. The smell really isn't an issue, it fades almost immediately.

Before I purchased this foundation I was worried it might be a little bit dry since provides good coverage, but it turned out quite moistrizing, even more than the Suqqu foundation I had been using, which is a lot more pricey and hard to buy in the states. In terms of coverage, though, I say it covers better than the sheer version, but can't really count as a "heavy duty foundation". However, the problem can be resolved if keep adding layers since it is buildable. After all, love it~!!
