Love everything but the smell
I have the shade Dolce Vita which is a really nice purplish nude that suits my super pale cool toned skin really nicely. It's a lovely moisturising formula but obviously doesn't last that long as a result but that's fine by me. It's subtle enough that you can put it on without a mirror and not worry that's it looks weird.
The only downside for me is the smell. I've no idea what it's meant to smell like or if all the shades smell the same but it's really familiar, maybe like Parma violets? I should probably say that I hate it when any make up has a scent as even if I like the smell it never lasts long anyway so it's clearly an unnecessary gimmick. So the smell for this lipstick fades quickly which is why I still like it.
There's probably very similar and cheaper alternatives from other brands but I don't know of any and I really like this one.

Maybe I'm not using the word "universal" correctly but what I mean to suggest is this colour could be worn on any skin-tone. It is a slightly sheer lipstick but applied 2 times I find the colour lasts nearly the entire day. It's easy to apply and as I prefer a less-precision looking application of lipstick, when there is no mirror available I still apply it and just smudge a bit with a finger tip. Somewhere I read that the model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wears this shade; with such a visible person using it, I really hope Nars will not delete this beauty.

My go-to lipstick for a night out, as it has a bold colour, highly pigmented and long lasting. I have given it 3 stars mainly as I find it quite drying on the lips, so needs a touch of Vaseline between wears.
Shanghai Express feathers quite a lot due to the pigment, but goes well with the lip liner in African Queen.
