Step 1.

If your skin is feeling tired or lacklustre, Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer will give a glow that shines through whatever foundation you use next. Simply blend a ten-pence-piece size amount over the whole face.

Step 3.

Apply Hourglass’ Ambient Lighting Powder in a shade slightly lighter than your natural skin tone down the centre of the face only, to give a candlelit glow and blur any fine lines.

Step 2.

For a soft-focus effect, you want a foundation that diffuses light. Radiant pearl mica in Laura Mercier’s Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation bounces harsh light away from skin, so any shadows, imperfections or fine lines are instantly less obvious.

Step 4.

Finish the look with Chantecaille’s Protect The Lions Palette. Wash African Topaz – a rich copper shade – all over the lid up to the socket line. On the outer edges of the eye, apply Amboseli, a more dramatic dark shade, sweeping upwards and outwards for a lifted eye look.
