Lipstick Queen Belle Époque Lip Gloss has been formulated to provide lavish sheer colour while protecting lips from moisture loss, environmental stressors and visible signs of ageing.
The gloss is infused with algae extract, a natural source of omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9, while shea butter helps refine lips and keep skin healthy. Rice lipids protect lips against moisture loss throughout the day and night.
Belle Époque is a range of three hydrating and tinted balms that bathe the lips in nourishment and comfort, whilst adding a hint of colour.
Rich, non-sticky and instantly soothing, these balms are fortified with an algae extract rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 as well as moisturizing Shea Butter and anti-oxidant Vitamin E.
With regular use, they improve moisture levels in the lips and minimize water loss thanks to Rice Lipids.
A subtle hint of flattering and wearable colour is the final Lipstick Queen touch for a beautifully natural lip look.

Pretty but Sticky
Looks good and gives a shear wash of color. The product is moisturizing but begins to feel sticky over time.

Very nice but not what I expected.
As with all Lipstick Queen products, this is a very moisturizing product which keeps lips feeling comfortable for hours. My niggle is that I expected it to be a lot less sheer. It looks quite strongly pigmented in photographs and the jar is also coloured the same shade. It's not untill you actually open it that you realize that it's a very lightly tinted lip balm. Nice to use, but really not pigmented enough to make any difference. So this one is disappointing. That said, it's a great brand with many other lovely lipsticks, which I have used for years.

Very lovely product
I'm a real convert to Lipstick Queen products, I have got two of these, the pink and the darker berry colour - although both give only the teeniest hint of colour. They are really lush and moisturing but a bit gloopy to get out of the pot (but it is a pretty pot). The pink one makes a very good moisturing highlighter for the cheekbones - the way make up artists use Vaseline rose. Super moisture and very pretty over a fuller lip colour shade.

Gorgeous balm, packaging needs another look
Let's start with the balm itself. It's thick, rich and a little bit jelly-like in texture and goes onto the lip with a feeling like it's going to hang around for a while and without that nasty greasiness that you can sometimes get with lip balm. The colour is the sheerest of sheer so don't worry too much about choosing between the colours cos unless you layer on the Wine colour, you probably won't see much of a difference. In short, I kinda LOVE it. The packaging is the only part which is less than perfect. Frosted plastic and cute bubble shape? Great! But does the neck have to be so tall and narrow? It forces you to stick your finger in at a sharp angle which means that unless you bite your nails to the bone (pas chic!) you're going to end up with a load of gunk under the nail which you either have to clear on a tissue or pick out with another nail to add to the rest on your lip (no...just.. no). Either way it wastes product and is the only (minor) failing of an otherwise glorious addition to the Lipstick Queen range.
