Use dry only. To accentuate or heighten the colour of the eyes, choose shades that offer a contrast so the eye colour will stand out. To go from day to night, add a deeper, more intense colour and liner. To create classic eyes: use a lighter tone on the lid and under the brow bone, add depth by accentuating the crease with a dark or medium shade and smudge deepest shade at the lash line.
To accentuate and elevate eyes: select shades that contrast eye colour.

Nice basic eyeshadow
I already bought the shade Buttercream for the second time. I use it for the base and on my upper lids. It’s a bit chalky but it is doing its job and stays on my eyes all day long. Overall it’s a nice eyeshadow and this is the reason I bought it again. I also want to try other shades of Laura

I’ve been waiting for this!
This shade, buttercream, was out of stock forever! Luckily for me it was worth the wait. I use it to highlight light the brow arch as for over 40’s like me it’s much more flattering than a shimmer highlighter. It’s a great consistency and covers well between grooming appointments. 10/10 from me

Too pale and chalky looking
I was disappointed in this matte eye colour because it just seemed too pale and chalky and I didn't even open it when I received it. I have returned it for a refund unopened. I could tell that it would be too washed-out for me. I am disappointed as a friend recommended Laura Mercier eye shadows to me but I think I need to try something that is a bit more of a definite colour and then use it lightly, rather than thinking I should go for something lighter in colour like this.

An old favourite!
I have been buying these Laura Mercier little boxes of colour for what seems like over twenty years now. Sometimes I try a new brand, but I always come back to these. They are reliable and work which sounds boring but is just what you want in an eyeshadow! I like the Matte ones to build other colours on and the sateen ones for evening. I am annoyed lots of my favourite shades are out of stock!

brilliant eyeshadow
this is outstandingly easy to apply and that isn't often the case with eyeshadows. The powder is well pigmented but is easy to apply lightly and so you can build up the colour to the level you want. Very smooth, silky powder which doesn't sit in fine lines. The only downside for me is that I tend to find sprinkles of it under my eyes if I don't put a tissue there before application but that might just be me! Lovely eyeshadows in easy to wear colours.
