Crying in more ways than one!
Another Surratt product that sadly hasn’t lived up to expectations. The results themselves are meh. But even worse than that, my eyes have been feeling incredibly gritty and through a process of elimination it’s down to this product. There is even a bizarre film that forms on the surface of my eyes - I think an effort to block the fibres getting in - and an optometrist has ruled out any underlying medical issue. Unfortunately I did not start using this immediately after purchasing it, so I’m past the timeframe for an exchange. Aaargh! The tears!

Natural Sweep
I was given this mascara, from a brand I am not familiar with. It gives a lovely uplifted sweep, lashes coated and separated. The look is natural, feathery, wide eyed. It does not build up to a dramatic evening look though. For that I use this as my first coats, adding another layer from elsewhere for greater volume. One considerable plus is that the slim wand is perfect for lower lashes, without smudging.

Good tubing mascara
As a glasses wearer and someone who also has hooded eyes, mascara is my nemesis. I cannot live without it but I've been through a lot of mascaras - tubing included - that do not deliver, or rather, deliver panda eyes by lunchtime. This one is a good, basic mascara that does the job. Doesn't last a workout, but that's not a dealbreaker for me. And apart from that I don't end up with panda eyes!

very clean, natural look
I have other mascaras that will give more of a built up, thicker look, but I actually love the look of this. It builds lashes in a very natural, clean way, think understated, rich girl makeup. The packaging is also very elegant. I would definitely buy this again.
