STEP 03 NEW EYES

DR DENNIS GROSS

Hyaluronic Marine Dew It All Eye Cream

Thinner, less oily skin around the eye area means skin can easily become dry and crepey, so try incorporating a targeted, moisturising solution on a daily basis. This smart blend uses moisture-binding hyaluronic acid alongside instantly hydrating algae, meaning fine dehydration lines are banished both at a surface and a deeper level.

MEET THE EXPERT DR LANCER

We caught up with brand founder and dermatologist Dr Lancer to ask your most frequently asked questions...

HYDRATING WITH DR LANCER

1.  How do I know if my skin needs more hydration and what are the symptoms of dry skin?

First of all your skin is going to feel tight. From head to toe, skin that needs hydration, if you can’t visibly see it in terms of premature crepiness and a sort of waxy scaliness, then it will be an itchy dryness and irritation. You’ll know you’re dehydrated when there’s some sort of sensory component telling you there’s a problem.

2.  What’s the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin refers to the fact that there’s a chemical barrier dysfunction that’s allowing the moisture in the skin to evaporate. With dehydration, you absolutely have that barrier dysfunction in addition to a lack of excess water on the inside, you’re systemically dehydrated.

3.  What moisturiser should I use before makeup/foundation?

I’d recommend the Nourish from my 3-step Method protocol. It contains hyaluronic acid among other beneficial ingredients to moisturise skin and boost hydration, allowing for easier makeup application. You can add in a few drops of the Omega Hydrating Oil into the Nourish as well.

4.  How much moisturiser/serum/eye cream should I apply?

Well first, moisturising from head to toe should be a daily habit. If you’re using a high-quality moisturiser for face and body, you don’t need so much. Same for serums, a less amount is needed (usually a pump will do) if it’s high quality product.
