Not my favourite
I always get excited when Byredo release new fragrances. This one sounded so nice on paper but for me, it's a little too spicy when it dries down. It's not a bad smell it's just not one that I enjoy lingering around me all day. If you do try it, let it sit for awhile before you make a decision.

Love it
Love the earthy notes in this, the papyrus note is very visible similar to the "mixed emotions" by Byredo they have a similar earthy level to it .The cinnamon is not overwhelming. The smell does linger for a short time smells like a inside of a antique wooden vanity/closet, kinda a fan of it. the cardamom and ginger sharpens the scent a nice scent for winter and fall.

i had the chance to sample this in a spacenk store recently and i have to agree with a previous reviewer that it although it is a lovely scent, it is simply too spicy for me to work as a personal fragrance. i love it the smell of cinnamon but in my cooking not on me,,it could maybe work better as a home fragrance item even. just not worth the purchase or price tag for me.

Perfection
I love boredom as I use their body creams all the time. I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a perfume and chose the perfect signature scent for me. This one is amazing for winters as it’s cosy, spicy and warm. I look forward to using during the summer too

Too much spice
Whilst I love the smell of spices as much as the next person, I prefer them in my cooking. I do enjoy a bit of spice in my perfumes but cinnamon, cardamom and ginger and carrot in one perfume?! This is just simply too spice-forward for me to enjoy and not something I would seek out to wear and smell like. Especially for byredo price tag
