Georgia Day, Head of Editorial & Content

After years of rigorously testing beauty products, I know what I like and stick to it. Although a self-confessed beauty obsessive, my personal routine is surprisingly low maintenance. Without sounding too dramatic, I try and stick to using products that will somehow enrich my life, be it a fake tan that perks up my skin and my outlook, or a cleanser that not only cleans my face but soothes my soul on grey days.

Byredo Gypsy Water

I had smelt this on friends for a while but it was only when I got round to spritzing it on myself that I became hooked; now I can’t bring myself to wear anything else. I adore the green tang of pine needles, the softly spicy pepper and the fresh bergamot, but it’s all of the above muddled with the musky, sandalwood base that makes it just the most alluring fragrance I’ve ever worn.

Windle & Moodie Ultra Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner

I used to be quite blasé about hair care products until I found this duo, and now I can’t rhapsodise enough about them! From the beautiful but shower-friendly pump packaging, to the heavenly scent and list of ultra-luxe ingredients, this combination leaves my locks with an expensive salon-worthy gloss and silkiness that belies my hurried morning hair wash.

Tan-Luxe The Butter

Before I had kids I was a dedicated self-tanner (scrub, mitt and all) but now I just don’t have the time; that was until I tried this. I apply one coat every Sunday night and without fail it transforms my skin, taking the edge off that slightly deathly pallorI tend to get in the winter. No streaks, no fuss and best of all it lasts all week without going patchy.

De Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm

The aforementioned ritual of beauty products is increasingly important to me in my (very) hectic life. This divine (there’s no other word for the rose geranium, honey myrtle and eucalyptus scent) balm sinks into skin to melt off makeup, and with it a day’s worth of worries. My skin is always left looking calmer and more cared for afterwards.

Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna

I’ve tried other bronzers in the past but always come back to this burnt-biscuit shade, because of its ability to pep up my olive complexion even in the depths of winter. Its flat (aka non sparkly) finish means it mimics a natural glow effortlessly; I apply to cheekbones with a kabuki brush and add a few strokes on to the bridge of my nose for extra radiance.

I’m a 100 MPH kind of person so my beauty obsessions are all about getting me from A to B looking and feeling fabulous, but also on time. If there’s something that helps me multi-task (yes, I’m the girl frantically applying her makeup mid-commute) then I want to know about it. But I’m also not one to compromise; my edit needs to deliver every time and it also needs to satisfy my superhuman sense of smell.

By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush

No matter how much time I allow myself to get ready I’m always rushing, so By Terry’s  foundation has literally saved my bacon on many a morning. The integrated kabuki brush is easy to use in a series of click, dab and stroke steps, which I’ve learnt to master like a pro, while the feather-light elastic formula disguises imperfections and helps me fake holiday-rested skin all year round.

Mauli Sacred Union Scent & Dry Oil

No matter how busy I am, a body oil is a luxury I can’t forgo… ever! This one is by far and beyond my favourite. The perfect union of four light, luxurious oils and 13 therapeutic essences, it glides onto skin in seconds and leaves my body feeling silky soft and smelling divine.

Malin + Goetz Eucalyptus Body Wash

I’m obsessed with eucalyptus because it reminds me of driving down the Pacific Coast Highway with the top down in summer. No matter how cold and rainy it is in London, this body wash allows me to close my eyes and pretend for about 2.5 minutes every morning that I’m back in sunny California.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

I love this brand. I love the fact that ALL the ingredients are 100% natural and non-toxic and that everything is done in-house on Tata’s very own 1,200-acre Vermont farm. I apply this any time my skin feels lacklustre, leave it to dry while I brush my teeth and get dressed. When I wash it off, my skin is instantly glowing and foundation glides on for a flawless finish.

Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish

I’ve been having laser hair removal on my legs and so haven’t been able to fake tan all summer. Suffice to say I’m pretty pale, so this wash-off body finishing makeup is basically my best friend. I apply it on to any white bits that might be on show (mainly ankles to mid-calf, forearms and decollate) using a mitt and it gives an instant hint of colour and an HD finish that lasts for 24 hours. It’s also 100ml so flight-friendly for any last-minute getaways.

Hayley Grove, Senior Copy & Editorial Writer

I’ve worked in beauty for a long time, yet I never tire of trying new things and it’s amazing how often I’m blown away by new brands. I’m a huge fan of rose, it’s so uplifting and reminds me of long summer days in the garden. I’m a big fan of makeup too, but good skin makes the best foundation so I try not to get side-tracked by glitter eye makeup and iridescent highlighters!

Aurelia Probiotics Skincare Cell Revitalise Day Moisturiser

I’m a big believer in the power of probiotic supplements (I’m sure they keep colds at bay through the winter), so Aurelia is a real go-to brand for me. I use this moisturiser all year round, it’s a steady staple that keeps my skin smooth and calm, plus it smells like jasmine and tuberose (heaven).

Oskia Renaissance Mask

I don’t like to use acid everyday as my skin is dry and can’t tolerate it, but I do like to exfoliate weekly otherwise it looks dull and patchy. This mask is my saviour; the passion fruit and papaya enzymes chomp away all the old dull skin cells, so ten minutes after I’ve put it on my skin looks brighter and the effect lasts a week. It’s genius.

Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Ultra-Moisture Body Oil

Nothing gives my dry limbs the same silky sheen as this oil, I use buckets of it in July and August (the only two months that I’m not wearing tights), and in the winter it keeps flakes away. It smells like standing under a rose arch on a warm day, and if I close my eyes I can pretend I’m in the garden at Milton Magna in The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets.

Votary Facial Oil – Rose Maroc & Sandalwood

My poor skin is as dry as driftwood throughout the winter months, and I spend a great deal of time slathering on hyaluronic acid, thick creams and nourishing oils. My new favourite of these has got to be this little firecracker. It’s a blend of pure essential oils, sustainably made in the UK and it’s saving my skin this winter (no dry patches yet).

Diptyque Roses Scented Candle

I love it when my home smells like fresh roses (who doesn’t?) and this candle has the most authentic aroma of any I’ve tried. It’s fresh, green, and classic, like stepping into an everlasting English country garden filled with roses of every colour and shape. It’s not too sweet but it is old-fashioned, elegant and with its twist of nostalgia it’s always on my wish list.

Rebecca Fearn, Copy & Editorial Writer

With a beauty background in magazines, I have developed a penchant for trying just about everything I can get my hands on. I’m aware I should probably simplify my regime to give my skin some continuity, but it’s not in my nature. I’m a true product addict who gets particularly excited about fragrance, skincare and makeup.

By Terry Baume De Rose Lip Care

I will forever re-purchase this wonder balm, which I slather on at least ten times a day. The smell is irresistible and the formula is the only thing that revives my ultra dry lips, especially in the winter. I like to put an extra thick layer on before I go to bed for an added hit of overnight moisture.

Rodin Luxury Lipstick in Tough Tomato

While I’ve always considered myself a nude lipstick kind of girl, there’s something so tempting about an orangey-red – and this one has become a firm favourite. The perfect shade for my English Rose skintone, it also comes in the most Instagram-friendly, chic packaging.

Oribe Apres Beach Wave Spray

Once a die-hard devotee to Oribe’s Dry Texturising Spray I was quickly converted to its younger sister after discovering that not only does it add the most amazing texture, it also enhances surfer girl waves with a single spritz.

La Mer Original Moisturizing Cream

My favourite moisturiser in the world, there I’ve said it. As my skin is still youthful I try not to use it too often; instead it’s more of a special treat. If I have a big night out coming up, I’ll pop a sheet mask on and then apply a thick layer of this before applying my makeup.

RMS Beauty Luminizer x Quad

There are several factors that make this one of my top 5. Firstly, I love the natural ethos behind the brand, and always feel good when using their products. Secondly, the colours – this quad offers different shades for every occasion. And finally, it’s the finish – light-reflecting while giving a gorgeous glow, but never shiny or greasy.
