Queen of festive glitz and sparkle and the woman behind some of the most gorgeous, glowing-giving gifts around, Charlotte Tilbury talks to us about winding down and dialling it up on the days in between Christmas and New Year. Read on for more on her self-care skincare rituals and New Year’s Eve airbrushed makeup look.

A ‘Me-Moment’ Amidst The Madness

The run up to Christmas can be hectic so it’s essential to carve out time to enjoy moments of calm. I am a firm believer that skincare is selfcare and when Christmas Day is done, you’ll find me in the bathroom, AKA my sanctuary, dedicating time to my supercharged skincare routine. I like to treat myself to an at-home facial using my , which is full of soothing, comforting formulas, from my award-winning Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, £21.60 to my iconic Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Light, £20.80.

It’s All About Family (And Champagne!)

For me, the Holiday period is all about spending precious time with my incredible family, my gorgeous husband, my two gorgeous sons, my sister Leah, my nieces Bella and Sofia, and my parents who come to stay from Ibiza. We all celebrate the festivities together and I’m hopeful that we can do the same this year. I’m so close to my family and can’t wait for us to all be together again. We spend the days in between Christmas and New Year walking our dog in the morning before cozy-ing down at home and having long, slow afternoons that blend into evenings eating delicious food and drinking Champagne – the way it should be!

“My resolution for 2021 is to be positive, spread love, light and joy and keep believing in the magic.”

NYE GLAMOUR

Although I don’t know exactly what I will be doing yet this year, it’s bound to be glamorous and magical – it’s New Year’s Eve darling! My outfit and makeup always go hand-in-hand – I like to think about the whole look so I can really bring it all together.

My makeup always starts with airbrushed-looking skin. For this I use my long-lasting Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, £31.20, which gives the most poreless-looking finish. I’ll then use my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer, £36.00 for an instant hit of hydrating colour and finally my red-carpet favourite, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, N/A to blur, smooth and set.

For eyes, of course there will be a smoky eye, I’ve been wearing my every day. I love how versatile this palette is, there’s 12 new jewel-inspired, universally flattering shades and create an array of shimmering eye looks.

And to finish, I’ll be dialling up my iconic Pillow Talk lip with a divine sparkle using my new . This easy-to-apply dazzling diamond gloss gives lips a hydrating veil of three-dimensional diamond sparkle that’s perfect for dressed-up occasions.

LOOKING AHEAD

My resolution for 2021 is to be positive, spread love, light and joy and keep believing in the magic. I hope to continue to help men and women all over the world feel empowered by makeup and skincare and keep making everyone’s beauty dreams come true.
