Refresh the locks and show off a healthy natural shine with the Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo, a clarifying shampoo that helps to gently cleanse the hair and scalp.
Formulated with white vinegar and micelles, this shampoo works to remove dirt, excess oil and built-up styling products without disrupting the moisture balance of the scalp. After each use, the locks are left feeling clean, comfortable and full of body. An aromatic blend of botanical essences, including peppermint, spearmint and organic rosemary, produces a rich fragrance to invigorate the senses.
Begin by wetting the hair and then massage in a little Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo before rinsing away thoroughly. Then follow with a conditioning treatment from the Aveda range.

Sulphates….
For a brand that prides itself in using clean and plant derived ingredients you would have thought that the most talked about on the poor ingredient list, sulphates, would not be used by Aveeda, but guess what it is and therefore just another brand green washing us. Really disappointing and companies need to step it up as consumers become more savvy about clean hair and skincare.

It works, but oh, my eyes and skin!
I have short hair and use a fair amount of product - wax, putty, spray - so need a clarifying/purifying shampoo. I like a number of other Aveeda products so thought I'd give this a try. The good news is that it does work, gets my hair squeaky clean. The bad news is that the fumes burn my eyes. I'm not talking about the shampoo itself getting in my eyes, just the mint/camphor fumes. Painful. And after a couple weeks of using it, the skin on my face has become sensitised and feels like it is burning. And I don't have particularly sensitive skin. So, be warned. If you have sensitive skin or eyes, stay away from this. This is the rare time that even though the product works, I cannot recommend it. The negative outweighs the positive.

Does what it says but with daily washing only
This shampoo has a lovely mint fragrance and adds shine, gently clarifies and leaves hair and scalp clean and fresh. However it lasts for one day only and the next day the roots look oily and need washing again. For reference I used this on hair with oily roots and dry ends but only need to wash it every three days with other shampoos. I didn’t find this drying on the ends and wish it was a little more drying on the roots. Maybe it’s just not a good match for this hair type but similar shampoos have worked much better. For this reason I will nor repurchase as not willing to wash hair daily and have had much better results for oily hair with other shampoos. This is the only Aveda product I haven’t liked as a brand they have an excellent hair care range.

I love the scent
Really like this shampoo and the scent is wonderful. I love that the mint makes your scalp tingly and I noticed that my hair looked shiny and healthier each time I used it. It did not strip my hair of colour whatsoever. With the rise and phenomena of using rosemary for hair growth, I will be using this shampoo after i have used oil in my hair to help promote growth.

Not for me
I purchased this rosemary mint purifying shampoo in the expectation that I would really like it, as I like many other Aveda products. Unfortunately I found that the shampoo was drying and irritating on my sensitive skin. Had to discontinue using it.
