A well-cared for Diptyque 300g candle will burn for up to 60 hours. Your candle will burn clean and evenly down to the bottom of the glass if you burn it for at least two hours the first time - or until the whole top is liquid with wax. After blowing out your candle, centre and straighten the wick. Trim the wick to about half a centimetre long before relighting the candle. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass. Do not place the candle in a wind draught or directly on a glass or marble surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Never move or tip a lit candle. Keep out of reach of children.

LOVE

Love this candle, it's iconic for good reason! Great candle to buy if you ever want to treat yourself and one of those scents that goes down great as a gift. You won't be disappointed. Lovely sweet and fruity scent thats not overpowering and a great addition to any room it's in.

Very good

A nice addition

Diptyque is my favourite candle brand. Although the price point is high, I find the scent, style and longevity of the candles worth it, however definitely a bit of a treat. This coloured candle edition of Baies is lovely, and worth it price wise if you are a Baies fan (has a blackcurrant smell to me) as the glass makes it look quite luxurious. I have given 4 stars as you need to be careful when first burning this to make sure you burn it for long enough so the wax is melted across or it can tunnel.

Not a fan...

I love the smell, but the product quality is not impressing considering the price tag. The candle melts in the middle leaving the edges not melted which is such a waste. I haven't tried the smallest size, but the bigger ones are definitely difficult to burn efficiently. This is still my favourite winter house smell - perfect for long dark evenings.

Striking candle

I am a huge fan of all things Diptyque and have a umber of their classic candles, but when I saw this limited edition black Baies candle, I knew I had to have it. The candle not only looks great, but smells divine too - it' both floral and fruity and has a longlasting scent. I light it sparingly because I want it to last!
