Named after the Wedgewood pendants of profile portraits set against the colour pink, the Boy Smells Cameo Candle was inspired by Andy Warhol’s shot of Dolly Parton and the subversive photography of Guy Bourdin.
Hand poured, the candle is expertly crafted from a blend coconut wax and bees wax with a braided cotton wick. With a clean even burn, it looks stunning on display, filling the home with an intriguing scent where rose, tuberose and sparkling white woods blend with skin musk, crystallised ginger and vanilla in a warm, floral bouquet.

Okay
I was expecting quite a lot from this candle to be honest, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. Overall, I have to say it’s a very pleasant fragrance, but in no way does this justify the price tag. It is basic to say the least. You could probably find cheaper options with more complexity. But it’s okay to put in a bathroom for example.

Lovely treat
I was given this candle as a gift recently and although I thought the packaging and branding was lovely I wasn’t sure how much I would like the floral scent. I normally go for fresh, citrus fragrances with my candles but this was actually very nice - and not too overpowering. A great gift or lively treat for yourself.

Fine but nothing special
Boys Smells candles are hit and miss. Agua de Jardin and Cinder Rose for example are beautiful but this one is quite basic and I wouldn’t buy again as the smell is faint.

Boy smells candles are up there with the best of the luxury candle market- the non toxic wax and scents make these my ideal candles. Cameo is perfect for anyone who liked vanilla scents. My other faves are Les, Cinderose, Ash, and Hinoki Fantome so if you like those you may like this!
