Great medium coverage foundation
I’ve always preferred full coverage foundations, even in the daytime, but I’m trying to be more confident with my natural complexion and opted for this to try a lighter medium coverage. It applies really nicely and can be built up from a light to a medium coverage, colour match was great on me, and it has good staying power through the day. Despite saying it’s matte I find it quite dewy, even on my normal/combination skin, but I like this!

Great for pale skin
I always struggle to get a good colour match for my very pale skin tone, but this was a great match! It covered enough without feeling too heavy and left my skin looking quite natural. It is not as hydrating as I would like and my patches of dry skin were accentuated a little unfortunately .

Great new foundation
I’m surprised I actually liked this foundation as it is on the matte side and would probably be more suited for oily skin whilst my skin is quite dry, especially in the winter. But it didn’t disappoint! I am happy I got colour matched in the store as I probably would’ve got it wrong myself (10N actually suits me perfectly). I don’t use this everyday as I am more of a lightweight CC/BB cream type of person on the average day. But I do use it for important days and special occasions and it lasts really well. Of course, it requires good prep and moisturising if your skin is on the drier side but the result is amazing.

there are better foundations
for context, my favourite foundations are from haus labs, pat mcgrath and chantecaille. i bought this foundation hoping for a shade match and i definitely got that. i'm super pale and shade 1C fair cool is almost too pale for me, which has never been a thing with any foundation before. initially it is a very pretty finish but i find it dries down more than i like. the shade range is amazing but i don't think i could repurchase simply because it isn't hydrating enough, i prefer for my skin to feel hydrated when i have my cream products on because i use a lot of setting powder over it. for a similar price point i've found haus labs foundation feels much nicer on the skin. rose inc would probably be a good choice for someone with oily skin!
