Love this scent
Confused by — but respect the other reviews for this product — we’re all different, but l love this candle scent! It’s sumptuous, a lovely blend of sweet/moody, perfect for A/W (I burnt it a lot over the Christmas period). The throw is great and the burn time slow. Space NK is one of the very few stockists of this particular scent. I would highly recommend.

Not what I was expecting
When I saw the name of this I was so excited and had an immediate idea of how it would smell. Sadly it smells nothing like the name would suggest. It's quite an unpleasant fragrance and the candle itself doesn't have much of a scent throw either. I was so dissapointed.
Its a no from me
I love Byredo. This sounded so interesting but sadly, to me, it smells like a cheap scented eraser that we used to buy as kids in the 80s. It's more coffee than chocolate to my nose. The mascarpone is in name only I think. Chocolate fragrance rarely seems to work and this is another. It just smells cheap and artificial.
Smells like a shop that sells gem stones
BYREDO fragrances are second to none, so I was super excited to give this candle a sniff as I love the brand, and I am also a fan of chocolatey treats, so what's not to love?! It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting, and I agree with what other people have said in the reviews that it has a chocolatey floral fragrance to it. There is a store in the city where I live that sells incense, clothing and gemstones, and this candle reminds me so much of being in that space! Once I got that idea in my head, I can’t smell anything else, which in a way is a comfort and novelty but not one that I would like in my home.
Unique candle
I love candles and particularly lean towards woody and oriental scents. I was excited to try this limited edition Byredo candle. To me, the candle does smell of chocolate-flavoured jelly lollies! So it is a nostalgic smell to me. I bought this online without having smelled it in person first. Whilst it is a lovely and pleasant enough candle, had I first smelled it in person I probably would not have bought it.
