About The Brand
Founded in 2022 by Kim and Raf Maes, a brother and sister born in Belgium, Le Rub marks a new era in mineral suncare - one that’s as kind to your skin as it is to the planet. The duo combined Kim’s background as a makeup artist and her knack for creating beautiful textures and finishes, with Raf’s creative eye and appreciation for nature as a former professional snowboarder turned photographer, and set out to reimagine SPF as both effective and enjoyable to wear. Caring is at the heart of what they do, with ingredients - including the brand’s sun-screening agent, non-nano zinc oxide (the most coral-friendly active sunscreen ingredient available) - that are consciously selected, locally sourced from the Mediterranean and then housed in 100% recycled aluminium packaging.
