SPF lip balm combines the hydrating benefits of regular lip balm with UV filters that protect your lips against UVA and UVB rays, sun damage, premature ageing and discolouration, while also helping to prevent cold sores from developing.
For effective protection, lip balms should contain at least SPF 30. During periods of prolonged sun exposure, opt for an SPF 50 lip balm.
