Inspired by a Japanese lacquer technique called urushi, this unique eye gloss creates a lustrous glow for eyelids and beyond.
The non-sticky formula features rich pigments suspended in a moisturizing, dewy base. The finish can be either sheer or vinyl-like; and have either a wash of color or a deep opacity. The high-gloss effect provides a modern alternative to traditional shadow.
How to Apply
Glide a thin layer on to bare eyelids using your finger for an artistic approach, or use the corresponding sponge-tip applicators for more definition.

Lovely base, that provides a healthy glow.
I loved the colour of the Satou Ume, really adds a lovely colour to my lids. The glossy consistency adds a lovely healthy glow. I really love that the colour is so buildable, I can use it as a base to build upon or have just a light amount all over with a little more added to the corners, when I want a slightly more dramatic look. Each lid lacquer comes with a compact mirror, so is really handy when on the go.

Surratt Lid Lacquer
I received this lid lacquer as a gift from a co-worker and I repeat - I am not a makeup person and never wear it except when someone offers to do it for me. This being said.... I am in shock with this product mainly because I know so little about makeup that I didn't even know something like this existed - I basically used it for my eyes, cheeks and lips and it simply looks COOL. I'm gonna continue using it on the weekends I find the packaging really awesome and also love the application approach, just used the wring finger to put it on my eyes and it creates a bold, cool look!

Creases straight away
Lovely idea...it looks great and glossy. But it creased within minutes and felt sticky. I tried a primer and powder to set but it still creased. A very expensive lesson to learn that cream eyeshadow just don't work. Even if you don't have greasy eye lids.

Wonderfully dewy and fresh
I tried this for the first time in early January. Bought a second shade since then. I was using Mac Paintpots. I've found powder shadows aren't as flattering as I've got older and migrated to creamier formulas. These are the best I've tried -- Troy Surratt really knows what he's doing. You can wash on a very discreet tint or built it up a little more. It does not emphasise any fine lines or dryness. I haven't found these very long-lasting, at least on my non-oily lids and in winter.

Funny to try once
The lacquer is an interesting idea I was looking forward to try but I am so disappointed! Not only the packaging won't last long (ca. 15 applications and 25% of the product is gone) but the effect is mediocre to say the least. As a wash of colour it creases so doesn't look that well after only 2 hours or so. doesn't work well with other products and is not buildable.
