Reap the benefits of vitamin A with The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% In Squalane. This skincare treatment is water- and silicone-free and helps to soften the skin while working to minimise the signs of ageing.
The highly stable retinol present in this formula works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, photo damage and general signs of skin ageing. It also encourages natural cell turnover, helping to promote softer and healthier-looking skin while working to minimise the appearance of blemishes and dark spots.
As retinol can cause irritation to the skin, newer technologies now exist to mimic the visible effects of retinol without causing as much discomfort for the skin. With this in mind, The Ordinary recommends beginning with serums with lower concentrations of retinol in order to build up tolerance.

- Promotes healthier-looking skin while minimising the look of blemishes

Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments.
Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure.
Caution: Retinol can cause irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, in the early stages of treatment while skin builds tolerance. If persistent irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician.
Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children. Refrigerate after opening.

Skin Type:: Dry
Very Oily and Non Effective
I do find this product very oily and it doesn’t seem to blend into my skin. So I’m not sure if it is doing much for my skin. I have been using The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5 and like it much better. For reference I am in my mid sixties. And along with taking proper care of my skin, I do also ingest a lot of Collagen products daily and use sunscreen on my face.

Easy to use on body as well
I tried using this on my face, but my tzone doesn’t agree with squalane, it’s tends to cause congestion for me. So am using this on my hands before moisturizer and mixing it into a neutral basic body oil to apply to neck chest arms after a shower. Very easy to use up and i will reorder a retinol in oil again for my body.
Best Use: Anti-Aging

Too strong for sensitive skin
Even with squalane this was too irritating. I have mature sensitive combination skin. My skin became dehydrated using this product even with moisturizer. I probably need a retinol alternative. I used a barrier cream to deal with the dehydration

Love It!
My skin loves this product! I am relatively but not completely new to retinol. I have been using it nightly for about two weeks now, and I can definitely tell a difference already with acne. I love the oily formulation, it feels moisturizing, and I have not had any peeling or dryness that I have with prescription vitamin A products. I will probably titrate up at some point, but for now, I’m loving this product!

Seeing results!
I’ve been using the retinol 0.2% for almost 2 months and I can definitely see a difference on the fine lines on my forehead. Maybe eventually I will use the stronger percentage if needed but so far so good. I only have to use a very little bit and make sure I moisturize after about 15 minutes of it absorbing into my skin.
