Fantastic powder
I used to love Prescriptives magic powder and have missed it since they stopped selling it in the UK. I tried Laura Mercier translucent powder, an Hourglass powder and Charlotte Tilbury magic powder but it they didn't do the trick. This was recommended to me in store in Beaconsfield and I couldn't be happier. I use a big brush to swirl it over my face on top of tinted moisturiser and concealer.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
This is perfect used over Chantecaille Just Skin. I use the Chantecaille Ultra Sun Protector Primer also and Trinny London pore blur and concealer where I need it. Glossier concealer under my eyes and on my eyelids up to my eyebrows as a primer for eye shadow. The loose setting powder finishes off my makeup flawlessly. It catches the light in a natural way giving a fresh natural glow. It's not shimmery or glittery which is not a look I would like at 62. It just gives a beautiful smooth finnish. I've tried other setting powders, this is the best by far.

Great highlight
There is a reason this product is so well rated! I have the brightening and glow laura mercier powders and love them both. I use the translucent one under my eyes and forehead and the glow on the cheekbones and to highlight. It gives a really nice finish to make up, i would recommend them both. I would not use this glow one over my whole face though, as it is quite shimmery

I didn't like it
It contains a lot of shimmery particles and it's not flattering on my face or under my eyes I don't like the result at all it's very disappointing, I prefer the original translucent loose setting powder it's my favourite one, but this one it's not good at all too much shimmer.

Works well to set makeup and set off my skin
I am still not entirely convinced about these types of powders, but this does work well to set make up, absorb some moisture/oil. It was recommended to me to also help makeup stay on longer and I’m not sure it does that. Overall I think this does what it says but I am keen to try others to compare!
