Rated 2 out of 5 by Bella696 from Way too thick It cleanses alright and rinses off ok, but I wouldn't call it a balm - it's got super thick, difficult to spread texture, doesn't melt on contact with skin, so to actually cover a face in a layer of it you need to drag your skin quite harshly. Glad it was only a sample and I will definitely not be buying it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Minkeyab77 from So sticky I received a sample of this in a GWP, and I was excited to try it, but I found it very disappointing. The really different thing about it is the texture, it's just so sticky. It's almost impossible to spread over your face, so I ended up using loads. I usually use a balm cleanser, and massage it into my skin to help remove spf etc. This reminded me of when my children accidentally put syrup on my face. It does rinse off, and doesn't remain sticky, but you will need a second cleanse.

Rated 3 out of 5 by smarta from Ok morning cleanser I got a 30ml size of this in a GWP and the first time I tried to use it as an evening-time first-cleansing balm and it stung my eyes very badly on top of not removing my make up at all. The best use I got off of it was in the morning, dealing with removing the night skincare residues, avoiding contact with my eyes. Its consistency is quite thick, honey-like. It turns to milk while rinsed. Skin felt refresh and cleansed, but I doubt I would purchase on my own

Rated 5 out of 5 by SpritelyPhilippa28 from Evening balm I use this balm in the evening. I spread it over my face and use a wet warm cloth to remove it. I then rinse with cold water. My skin is always left soft. I then use a toner followed by moisturizer or a fask mask followed by a mask. Always use a toner before the mask.

Rated 4 out of 5 by The Holey Cheese from Gentle balm but impossible to spread around your face This was my first time trying a product from 111skin after rave reviews from the rest of my family. I was confused on how to use this product - the how to use direction is frankly useless. The first time I applied it to a wet face as you would a gel cleanser. However, this isn't a foaming gel but a balm so it didn't lather as expected. The texture of this cleanser is also really really thick like honey gloopy thick. After some researching, I realised I was using it incorrectly and applied it to a dry face. Oh my gosh, this was now like spreading thick set honey (I'm running with analogy now). This meant I had to use a good 3 pumps to cover my face and boy this product ain't cheap. It does leave my face feeling clean but not stripped. However I don't think it would remove makeup sufficiently so this is strictly a morning or a second cleanse. It hasn't put me off purchasing other 111skin products but this cleanser is really a winner from 111skin. Please click yes if you find this helpful.
