Mild enough to cleanse even the delicate eye area, it is made with clean, natural ingredients including mongongo, baobab and marula oils to prevent dryness. Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser should be applied to dry skin using dry fingertips. Begin by rubbing it in gently, then add water before rinsing and patting the face dry with a cloth.

PM: On dry skin, use dry fingertips to massage Slaai over face and eyes. Add water to activate, rinse well with warm water and pat dry. May also be removed with a soft, damp cloth.
AM: (optional) 1-2 times per week, add the Bamboo Booster to Slaai for a customised, skin-refining physical exfoliation to aid in the removal of dead skin cells that have accumulated on the surface overnight. Avoid the eye area when using the exfoliating booster.
Tip: If using retinol, we recommend avoiding Bamboo Booster, or using with caution, as It can be too much for skin.

Amazing
This is one of the best cleansing balms I have ever used!! It doesn’t have much of a smell which is a shame, however it removes all makeup even if it’s waterproof! It has lasted me almost 4 1/2 months and I use it nearly everyday so it is a great price and lasts a while. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a cleansing balm to remove makeup

My fave
This product is actually my favourite one from the entire range because it works really well, is a decent size and has skincare benefits. I really like using this at the end of the day to simply cleanse my face from the makeup left behind and this is a really gentle way to do so. I really like the fact you can choose how many granules to add because it makes it more suited to your own needs and you can change this. The consistency is really nice and it feels super gentle and light on the skin and leaves it refreshed and plump after

Absolute must-have
It effortlessly dissolves all traces of makeup, even waterproof mascara, without any harsh scrubbing. I love how it transforms from a luxurious balm to a silky oil upon contact with my skin, making it super easy to massage in and break down makeup. My skin feels soft and hydrated after use, never tight or stripped.

Not for me
I love this brand and buy several of their products on repeat and so was excited to try another, but this is definitely not for me. I didn't like the look of the product when I opened the pot; it looked like petroleum jelly, but slightly yellow and the texture and consistency was similar. I did not get the product to mix with water nor did it feel good to apply direct to my skin as my usual cleanser does. I did notice a gunkiness around my eyes in the morning. There was no scent to be noticed and my sensitive skin did not react. I feel the price is high and my usual brand does the same and probably a better job than this one at a much lower price point.

Good but bad on eyes
I’ve always love Elemis cleanser but found it too expensive these days so decided to return to this cleanser. One morning after using it I remembered why I stopped, it makes my eyes so gunky in the morning even after I’ve rinsed my face. When I don’t use it I wake up fine but when I do the next morning my eyes are so crusty and sticky. Overall good cleanser but would get something else for my eye makeup.
