Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser should be applied to dry skin using dry fingertips. Begin by rubbing it in gently, then add water before rinsing and patting the face dry with a cloth.

PM: On dry skin, use dry fingertips to massage Slaai over face and eyes. Add water to activate, rinse well with warm water and pat dry. May also be removed with a soft, damp cloth.
AM: (optional) 1-2 times per week, add the Bamboo Booster to Slaai for a customised, skin-refining physical exfoliation to aid in the removal of dead skin cells that have accumulated on the surface overnight. Avoid the eye area when using the exfoliating booster.
Tip: If using retinol, we recommend avoiding Bamboo Booster, or using with caution, as It can be too much for skin.

My favourite cleanser for a second cleanse! I've lost count of how many times I've bought this. Having said that, a little goes a long way so it does last for ages. But I am never without a tub of this. It has a light scent (scent rather than fragrance), I can't really describe it but it's a nice smell, I love the smell I think because I associate it with how much I love the cleanser! It's very effective at taking off heavy makeup, even eye makeup. I have quite sensitive eyes and I can rub this cleanser in and it doesn't irritate them at all. It rinses clean with a flannel or sometimes I just rinse it off in the shower. It's the perfect balm cleanser.

Very good
Very nice cleansing balm. It takes my makeup off so easily without leaving greasy residue on skin. I have dry acne prone skin and this did not cause any irritations or any breakouts. A lot of the times cleansing balms tend to sting my eyes or make my sight blurry and greasy for a couple of minutes after washing, however this is not the case with this product. I really like it, however I do think there are cheaper options that work just as well, so that is why I gave it 4/5.

I have been very happy with an recent Drunk Elephant purchases and this one did not disappoint! Great balm that changes to a milky consistency when water is added. Good enough to remove eye make up also. Will definitely repurchase and cannot wait to try some of the other products!

Good cleanser
I thought I’d try this as a change from my usual Emma Hardie moringa cleanser and it does the job well as do all the Drunk Elephant products I have tried. It’s also quite reasonably priced for a good sized amount although no cloth is provided. It has a rich buttery consistency which oilier skins might not like but is fine for me.,

Good but not great
This is a good cleansing balm and a little goes a long way. It smells good and I love the packaging, scoop, exfoliator etc. The downsides are that it isn't super efficient at pulling off mascara, and it can sting my eyes and make them cloudy. I haven't had that with alternatives, but I know this is a personal preference/sensitivity. You do get a LOT in the tub and it feels very hydrating.
