Drunk Elephant was born out of founder Tiffany Masterson’s ongoing struggle with a range of skin complaints. After becoming disillusioned with the products at her disposal and the ingredients they were formulated with, she launched Drunk Elephant as a biocompatible skincare range in 2012, creating each product as a potent, easily absorbed elixir.
Each product in the Drunk Elephant range is formulated with a high percentage of active ingredients, all made at skin-friendly PH levels. Whether you’re looking to battle blemishes, reduce redness or revitalise the complexion, there are a variety of options for all concerns and any skin type.
They’re a cult favourite for a reason and are often touted as one of the best skincare brands out there, with quality and efficacy at the heart of each formulation. But it’s not just your skincare regime that can benefit from the range, as Drunk Elephant has forayed into body care and haircare too.

I didn’t enjoy the oily texture
I had two samples of this and as I exfoliate three times per week, these were enough for me to trial for nearly a month. This is not for me even though I love peptides and lactic acid. The oily texture is the main problem as I like to exfoliate as a first step after cleansing and use oil, if at all, at the end of my routine. I struggled to use this in my routine. Maybe if you have a simple routine of cleanse, this serum and moisturiser and SPF it would work? But I didn’t enjoy this at all, or see any difference. I didn’t experience a reaction so I think this is pretty gentle.

Awful packaging = Wasted product
I ended up wasting pretty much 3/4 of my bottle, because the pump flew off after a few uses, and I can't seem to get any product out otherwise. It's awful and it should be fixed, so people can actually use the product they spend a fortune to buy! I'm really not happy, and you would think that a company who charges so much for this product, would consider design faults with this packaging, before allowing people to buy it.

Broke me out
I recieved a sample on my last order and it immeaditaly broke me out. I am so happy i did not purchase a full size since it is way to expensive. I think that there is an oil inside that does not agree with mw since the same happened with the lala retro cream and the marula oil. The serum is made fot unclogging pores but i think ot just clogged mine more.

Very nice and excellent ingredients
This serum is packed with great ingredients, from plant oils, to squalene, to peptides, to deliver plenty of moisture and hydration to the skin. It supports the skin barrier, which is always a must, regardless of your skin type, and it also claims to help fight hyperpigmentation. I haven't used it long enough to see the full result on such claims, but it seems to deliver an instant glow. Unscented and cruelty-free. A little pricey, but it's Drunk Elephant, so nothing new here.
