Not as good as precleanse
I have used precleanse for years and it removes all my makeup so well that I never need to use micellar water. I had really high expectations for this as a result but sadly it isn’t as effective as precleanse. It has a thicker texture and does foam up and wash off well but it just doesn’t do much to remove a full face of makeup.
I love this!
My skin has never felt so clean! I’ve tried so many makeup melting cleansing balms / other cleansers designed to take makeup off - and this by far the best! Doesn’t leave an oily greasy residue but skin feels moisturised and not dry. I like to use this alongside the special cleaning gel for a double cleanse.
Great for travelling
I’m a big fan of the Dermalogica brand and in particular the pre cleansing oil so I had high hopes for this new cleanser. I like that you can either use it as an oil which can be wiped off with a damp face cloth or you can add water and it turns into a lather. So basically can be used as a first or second cleanse or both. Ideal for travelling when space is a premium. A lovely cleanser, I would re-purchase.

I decided to buy this cleanser in order to cut out a step in my skin routine; I normally use pre cleanse followed by special cleansing gel (both by this same brand). This cleanser is a mixture of everything I love from the other two products! This deep cleans my skin, takes off all my make up and foams up beautifully to leave a clear complexion.

I've found that using a face cloth or washcloth speeds up the process significantly, ensuring thorough removal without leaving any residue behind.
