Shade: As someone with fair skin and freckles, I always prioritise a base that feels natural on my complexion. I don't tend to wear foundation every day, so I was particularly intrigued by The Foundation Drops when I heard about the skin-like coverage it promises. I opted for shade 2, which was a lovely match for my skin tone and gave me just enough coverage without hiding my freckles.
Formula: I applied a few drops using a makeup brush and was immediately impressed by how effortlessly the formula blended into my skin. It's incredibly lightweight and feels like you're wearing next to nothing, which is exactly what I look for in a base product. I love knowing that I'm getting the added bonus of skincare ingredients (and from Augustinus Bader, no less) while wearing my makeup, too.
Finish: The finish is where The Foundation Drops really won me over. My skin looked fresh, healthy and naturally radiant, with just enough coverage to even out my complexion without looking like I was wearing foundation. I even received a few compliments around the office on how good my skin looked, which is always a promising sign. For someone who rarely reaches for foundation, this formula has made wearing a base feel completely effortless, and it's definitely earned a spot in my everyday makeup bag.
