The highly stable retinol present in this formula works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, photo damage and general signs of skin ageing. It also encourages natural cell turnover, helping to promote softer and healthier-looking skin while working to minimise the appearance of blemishes and dark spots.
As retinol can cause irritation to the skin, newer technologies now exist to mimic the visible effects of retinol without causing as much discomfort for the skin. With this in mind, The Ordinary recommends beginning with serums with lower concentrations of retinol in order to build up tolerance.

Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments.
Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure.
Caution: Retinol can cause irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, in the early stages of treatment while skin builds tolerance. If persistent irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician.
Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children. Refrigerate after opening.

Cheap but effective
If you’re looking for a cheap and effective retinol to add to your daily facial routine, then this is perfect. At this price you can’t go wrong. It works for me and I have to say my face is looking good on it, despite being over 50! It smooths and nourishes. I’d recommend it.

Retinol 0.2 in squalene
Love this stuff. Use it 2 nights a week, after cleansing and before moisturizer. Always see a brightening and tightening in the AM. I use Vit. C 2 nights and Hyaluronic and B5 2 nights. Always roatating. This seems like a good plan for my aging skin, for now. If the price keeps going up... I may have to change plans.

A good regular retinol
I have been using this for a few years now and it is a regular for me, it's a low percentage which is perfect for me and keeps my skin even. It's a great introductory product to retinol as it is very affordable and not too much for those that are new to retinol
Best Use: Treat Pigmentation / Dark Spots, Uneven Skin Texture
