The highly stable retinol present in this formula works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, photo damage and general signs of skin ageing. It also encourages natural cell turnover, helping to promote softer and healthier-looking skin while working to minimise the appearance of blemishes and dark spots.
As retinol can cause irritation to the skin, newer technologies now exist to mimic the visible effects of retinol without causing as much discomfort for the skin. With this in mind, The Ordinary recommends beginning with lower concentrations in order to build up tolerance.

Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments.

Another Hit Product from the Ordinary
The Ordinary always hits it out of the park. Affordable products that work just as well (sometimes better) than the expensive stuff. This had a slightly odd smell to it but nothing too off-putting and it dissipated quickly once applied. I didn't have any sensitivity with this product which can happen with strong retinol products. All in all a fantastic product that I will definitely repurchase. I received this product complimentary from theordinary in exchange for my honest opinion.

This product works immediately. I noticed results after just two weeks of proper use. It's amazing; it instantly smoothed my skin and is now reducing my hyperpigmentation and acne scars. While my acne isn't severe, it is noticeable, and I've had it in the past. After three months of use, I've never seen such rapid and effective improvement in my skin. Gifted by the ordinary.

This is my first time trying a product from the ordinary, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the effectiveness, and I definitely think it's perfect for those wanting to introduce retinol to their skin.
