Caring for diptyque Candles
With proper care, diptyque candles burn for 50 to 60 hours. Here are tips for safely prolonging the life of your candles.
Burn Time
The first time you burn your diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours, until the whole top is liquid with wax. This will help your candle burn more evenly the next time.
Trim The Wick
Before lighting your diptyque candle, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.
Realign The Wick
After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
Safety
Never leave a lit candle unattended. This could be a fire risk. Always place your candle on a level, heat resistant, non-flammable surface away from fabric or drapes. Choose an area free from drafts to avoid uneven burning. Do not place your candle on a marble or glass surface. If the bottom of the hot candle glass comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.

Perfect drawing room scent
I absolutely adore this candle and it really is the only one I have repeatedly purchased. Every time I light it, I feel like it transforms my living room into a country house just by the smell. It's so wonderfully cosy and the all around perfect candle for any time of year. It pains me when it runs out!

Perfect Winter Candle
This is the main candle I lit this past winter, and it was ideal for the days I wanted a rich, spicy, cosy scent. The glass container is a beauty, and it's large enough that it lasted many months. Like others, I knocked off a star because it has only 1 wick, and you need to pay attention at the start to ensure it doesn't tunnel. Worth the effort though.

Pleasantly surprised with the scent
Diptyque is my favourite candle brand and I love the larger, coloured vessels they have bought out. Although the price point is high, I find the scent, style and longevity of these candles worth it, however definitely a bit of a treat. This deep red/burgundy glass candle edition is lovely, the glass makes it look quite luxurious and the size is perfect. You need to be careful when first burning this to make sure you burn it for long enough so the wax is melted across or it can tunnel. I was pleasantly surprised with the scent, to me it has a hint of sweetness. A lovely purchase.

Perfect scent but tunnels
This is my absolute favourite scent in a candle. However the candle tunnels, its as though the single wick can't get enough heat to the edges. I've had 2 of these and it happened both times. But i do rebuy as it is the most beautiful smell and this size candle is perfect for the room size I burn it in.

Perfect home scent
I was generously gifted this candle and two others a while back and have only just got round to using it. It is just as lovely as the gifter had promised. We all know that diptyque produces quality products with stunning scents and this is no exception! Would recommend!
