Very sickly sweet and floral
I will admit this, I bought this more for the vessel than the scent but I rather regret that now. The scent really isn't for me - I know people who love it but it gives me a headache. It is very incense-y and the patchouli lingers for a long time. I have mixed feelings about the Boy Smells candles, some are absolutely divine (Les & Agua De Jardin) and some really unpleasant.

Not great
I bought this candle due to the fragrance description and the good looking packaging, but it was nothing like I expected. I agree with the previous reviews that it has powdery scent, which is not something I like. Overall, the design is great, but I think Boy Smells has much better candles out there.

Only ok
I found this really disappointing. As other reviewers have said, a really powdery fragrance (which is fine, I quite like it but not what I expected!) and for the price a really terrible burn. I found this tunnelled pretty impressively (despite following all the usual fancy candle rules) and I don’t think it’s worth the money. Back to diptyque!

DON'T BOTHER
I have a huge appreciation for candles, and over the years I have learned the brands I love and stuck to them. I had seen Boy Smells many times on Space NK but initially nothing about this brand called out to me. When I first saw Fleurshadow it was available for preorder and I fell in love with it’s pink chrome aesthetic, “it would look perfect in my room” I thought, and it’s scent description was exactly the kind of thing I would usually go for so I decided to try something new. I was excited for its arrival but as soon as I opened the packaging I was faced with scratches on the tumbler which was disappointing as if all else failed I had at least hoped it would sit pretty on my dresser. The scent of this candle was not the issue for me (unlike other reviews), I found it to be quite pleasant and it had a moderately good throw. The major issue for me was the fact that it demonstrated a terrible burn. It tunnelled from the first use, letting off copious amounts of smoke, and only got worse with every use after that. I have done everything I should do to try and get the best out of it, I allowed a four hour first burn, trimmed the wick, used a snuffer and attempted to fix tunnelling with the foil trick, but unfortunately to no avail. This is not what I’d expect from a candle in this price range. Fleurshadow was my first Boy Smells purchase but upsettingly it will also be my last.

Beautiful but Powdery
I really wanted to love this Boy Smells candle because it's just soo pretty. But the scent is on the mature side and rather powdery. If you're into those fragrance notes, then you might like this scent. But it's definitely not for, and I won't be repurchasing. I think Boy Smells missed the mark with this candle, and they have scents that are way better and more complex.
