Best setting powder
I got this as a sample a while back and it very quickly replaced the Laura mercier version. A little goes a long way, doesn’t sit into creases as much as the LM version and is very good value given the size of the product. Highly recommend. This lasts all day

Blurring and mattifying
I'm not big on powders as my skin is quite dry, but got this in an advent calendar and decided to try it out. It's actually quite nice! It definitely blurs the skin and leaves it matt and 'perfected' - usually I prefer a dewier look but fortunately the powder felt comfortable and non-drying. It also lasts all day and I haven't noticed any white cast from the shade Translucent on my fair skin. Quite pricey, but then again a 25 gram pot should last you a lifetime, haha.

"Translucent" is more white than anything
I have used the ABH Loose Setting Powder on and off now for years for two reasons: one, because I don't like throwing half-decent things away and, two, the massive jar you get for your money ensures it lasts forever. The positives are that the powder is fairly finely milled and after application I haven't noticed any patches where the powder did not stick to skin. That being said, I got the colour Translucent, which easily ends up looking very chalky-white even on my Casper-the-friendly-ghost complexion; one really has to be careful not to apply too much. In addition, the mattifying effect is so strong the powder easily makes your skin look dry and uneven - using only a tiniest hint is arduous and goes easily wrong. The best use I have found for the ABH Loose Setting Powder is as a mixing medium for powders that have colour. For instance, I can mix it with the Sisley Loose Phyto-Powder in 01 Irisée, which in itself is too dark for me. The ABH Loose Setting Powder in Translucent mixes with the Sisley Loose Phyto-Powder in a way that suits my skin tone and gives moderate illumination, the mattifying ABH toning down the Sisley sparkle. (my complexion matches: Nars Sheer Glow Foundation: Oslo, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation: 0 Fair; Tom Ford Soft Matte Foundation: between 0.0 Pearl and 0.1 Cameo)

One of the best powders I've used
I can't believe I haven't heard of this powder before. I've tried the Charlotte Tillbury one and the Laura Mercier one (I think this is on par, maybe better!). I received the translucent shade in my advent calendar. I have been thoroughly enjoying using it every day. A small amount goes a long way - you really don't need to use the same amount of product as you would a coloured powder. It sets my makeup all day. I would re-apply before going out in the evening as I have an oily T-zone. It does stop the mid-morning or lunch time oil from coming though, so I would highly recommend this to anyone with combo or oily skin. My cheeks are drier and it still looks good on top of blush/bronzer etc. I will buy the full size product when I run out.

Really good
I got this in my Advent calendar and forgot about it due to me being a Laura Mercier fan. I finally gave it a go a couple of weeks ago when I was on a 'odd bits' make up day as just running round doing errands. I was so surprised at how well my skin looked throughout the day despite only using a CC cream as my base. It set my face well, the coverage is brilliant despite it still looking natural. I have since ordered a full size pot, which comes in a generous size. I have been choosing this over my Laura Mercier powder. I may go back to LM for winter/nights out. However maybe as my skin is aging I need something like this that comes across as more finely milled, more like the under eye setting powder from LM. I also find that a little goes a long way. I have minus one star as it doesn't seem to set my nose that well, it keeps shine down like any other but sometimes at the end of the day the make up at the end of my nose can look moved and patchy. However despite this I do prefer (atm) the overall look so I can stand this.
