Lovely colour and it has staying power!
I bought this as I wanted a fairly mute colour for my eyes. It hasn't disappointed. A lovely pale muted pink but one that stays put for a good few hours! I don't think it's realistic to expect a colour to stay on your eyes all day so I am happy to reapply a couple of times.

Brilliant colour
Hurrah, it’s back! I have waited for this colour, Coriander to return for over a year and have been lost without it. It is simply the best base colour and covers the lid so smoothly with great depth which can be built up when needed. A lovely neutral shade but the right neutral shade! Haven’t found anything to take its place.

Quality colour
I bought the shade. 'ginger' which is a neutral nude pink and great for daytime wear on my eyes and as a base layer if I'm wanting to add other colours in the evenings. It spreads well on my eyes and doesn't crease. The downside is that it's a refill and you have to pay extra if you want a compact to put it in - not too bad if you know you'll be a regular customer of Chantecaille but steep for your first purchase. It also doesn't come with an applicatior. For both these reasons I knocked off one star.

Excellent shades
I tried this eyeshadow for the first time in the spring with peony which is a gorgeous pink . I now have ginger which is a very natural nude on pale skin the texture goes on beautifully and it is definitely a quality product with great shades. It is now an integral part of my make up routine every day. Not the cheapest but the best !

Hard to blend and build
I got the colour "Chocolate" in store. The colour swatched a lovely deep purple with slight sparkle, without being glittery. A perfect smokey one and done shade (in theory). I was quite disappointed when I applied it to my eyes. This really didn't blend well. I was using the same brushes I use with my other shadows; a natural hair blending brush from Chikuhodo. I then tried building the shade (with a builder brush) in the outer corner of the eye but it also didn't really build well. In the end, I looked like I had bruised eye area. Pat Mcgrath and Natasha Denona massively out perform this formula and are, therefore, better value. At £23 for a REFILL (note the pebble compact is £14) this shadow needs to perform a lot better. I love the skincare from the brand but most of the make up I have tried has fallen short, including this which has been the worst product I have tried from them.
