Best matte lipstick
LE true velvet lipsticks were the first of their kind. It feels soft on the lips, the bullet is beautiful, looks like velvet. The formula is great, it glides easily. If my lips are a bit dry, I would apply a lip mask before the application of the lipstick and my lips are nourished. Also there is no comparison with other brands for their colours. I have got Duchess to make a statement with a slightly dark red colour (depends on your carnation, it is a gorgeous red on actress in films). It is still perfect for work with the lights. For an everyday look or a no makeup look, I would prefer Muse or Affair. I can't go back to other brands, I am looking forward trying other colours of the same range

So creamy
Thus lipstick by Lisa Eldridge is so beautiful the true velvet lip colour is vibrant and light. I bought in the shade velvet beauty a beautiful mauve pink, it is creamy, buttery and highly pigmented. My lips feel and look great, it last pretty long too, no need to touch up often. The finish is a lovely sheen finish, my my lips look great

Longwearing lipstick
The Lisa Eldridge True Velvet lipsticks are long-lasting and although they are matt in texture, I find them not too drying. Velvet Enchantment is a beautiful brick-red based shade which is very wearable and brightens my skin tone (for reference I’m an NC42 in MAC foundation shades).

Huge advocate for red lipstick
I have searched for years for the right shade and texture of red lipstick... I have around 200 red lipsticks and I think I have finally found a great match, I love the matte texture of this lipstick yet it isnt drying! The colour stays put and does not bleed like other red lipsticks! I love how pigmented the shades are! I currently have Duchesse, Jazz, and Midnight! I love all three shades and looking to try out other shades!

Fantastic Lipstick
I have this formula in several shades - Pompadour, Ribbon, Morning and Jazz - and they are all fantastic. The colour pay off is great and the shades are gorgeous. The matte formula still feels creamy and comfortable on the lips and lasts well, especially with the matching Lisa Eldridge lip pencils which I also recommend. The velvet texture of the bullet is also gorgeous and looks so luxurious. The only complaint I have is that the formula is so highly pigmented that I have had one of these break off in the tube so be careful not to roll the lipsticks up too much when you apply and be extra careful in warm weather . However, this has only happened to me once so I wouldn’t let it put you off these - they are fantastic and very high quality lip colours. This texture is thicker and feels slightly heavier than the insanely saturated lip colours from Lisa Eldridge, but both are great formulas.
