Rich and soothing face cream

I received a sample of this and tried it out as a night cream after spending the day out in the sun. It's quite thick but absorbs well and you don't need to use much, and I woke up to glowing hydrated skin. However at £90 for a jar, I'd only use it as an occasional treat rather than as a daily moisturiser!

I can honestly say this us one of the best moistures I have used and highly recommend especially with the hourglass primer serum

Great ingredients but comodogenic

I commend hourglass for creating a cream that's suitable for sensitive skin that can only handle few ingredients, and looks beautiful under makeup. The nature of the ingredients are great. IMO, it’s ok for a seemingly basic moisturiser to be marketed at a high price point, if it works. Unfortunately, whenever I use this I break out in spots. When I stop, my skin reverts back to its normal clear state. I know that everyone’s skin is different, but I think is unacceptable for a comedogenic moisturiser to be marketed at this price.

Decent moisturiser

This is a rich cream with a slightly pasty texture. I found that I had to massage for a while to work my way through a white cast before it would fully absorb. It dragged a little on my skin which is unexpected. Once it's applied, it hydrates well and doesn't leave any residues. I didn't think it was anything special and eventually got fed up of the application process. At this price-point, I personally think there are better options for me.

The best moisturiser I’ve ever used

It doesn't have any harsh, unnecessary ingredients such as fragrance, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Since using this (daily for 2 weeks) the quality of my skin looks better i.e. looks brighter, younger and healthier. It's moisturizing and has a nice rich texture (which in my experience is rare for a niacinamide containing product.) Doesn't make my skin oily. It looks well balanced. Looks amazing under makeup. Gives my skin a nice glow. At the time of buying this it's priced at 90 GBP, which is high. However, as it’s a rich creamy texture, I think it’s going to last longer than many of my other moisturisers which are thinner. Although I’ll see how I get on.
