Allure and enthral with Byredo Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum, a tantalising scent that utilises the exotic scent of the ghost flower, from the Mojave Desert.
The ghost flower is a rare genus that grows in the wilderness of the desert with an intense aroma. Byredo Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum begins to embody this beguiling plant with top notes of ambrette that deepen and intensify with violet, magnolia and sandalwood for a coalescing of woodiness and floral aromas. Base notes are formed with a bewitching mix of crisp amber, chantilly musk and cedarwood, forming a picture of the illustrious ghost flower.
High-quality raw ingredients have been utilised in this creation to make a perfume that lasts the distance as well as being gentle on the skin. Although distinctly floral, this scent reacts with the natural notes of the skin and can amplify both masculine and feminine properties.

Mojave Ghost
I received a small sample of Byredo Mojave Ghost in the Space NK fragrance advent calendar this year. It has notes of ambrette, violet, magnolia, sandalwood, amber, chantilly musk and cedarwood. It is surprisingly light and soft, not too floral, and dries down into a subtle warm musky aroma, almost like a skin scent. I have knocked a star off because the mini bottle doesn't come with a spray top so it's more tricky to use, and for the cost I would expect the scent to be stronger and last longer.

Very delicate and unique scent
I received this beautiful perfume as a sample and absolutely fell in love with it., several people ask me about the perfume. It's a very unique scent, sweet, and kind of floral , top notes are Ambrette heart notes of Magnolia, Sandalwood and Violet |Cedarwood, Musks and Vetiver . It's lovely as it dries down and the tiny amount lasts for hours. In fact someone asked me in the afternoon what perfume I was wearing, after several hours I have used it! As well I think it gives you a uniqueness since is not a very comercial smell. It’s a bit expensive but if you are lucky you can get it as me with a 20 percent off during the Black Friday

Lovely scent that lasts
I am a fan of Byredo perfumes and was very excited when I saw the Mojave ghost on the 12 days of fragrance advent calendar. It's a lovely scent, not very strong but it lasts a long time, I can still smell it on my skin a few hours after applying it. I own a 8ml bottle so cannot comment on bigger bottles but don't like the fact it's not a spray, which makes it more difficult to apply. I took off one start because of the price, as lovely as it is, it's too expensive!

Another Byredo staple
I used the travel size of this perfume. I’m genuinely surprised with the scent - from description I expected it to be strong/heady flower scent. But, it is a clean floral scent with a hint of musk. To me it feels like a skin scent after an hour or so. I can still smell it on my clothes and skin but only when I sniff my shirt/wrist. Overall I’m pleased with the scent and it is perfect for office wear - mucky without overpowering the people close to your desk! I have used other Byredo fragrances which are always ‘loud’ and people can smell you from a distance away so this was a genuine surprise - definitely recommend trying the travel size first.

and that is generous
A great name and I love the backstory, but sadly both proved to be a lot more interesting and a lot more pleasant than the fragrance. It opened with a sweet warm fruity accord that I really liked, but sadly this did not last. Soon afterwards it developed some vague floral notes - the promised violet and magnolia were impossible to discern - and a disquieting acridity that I can only describe as a bit icky (perhaps this was the ambrette). It remained an icky vague floral blur after that with no noticeable development, and was quite tenacious unfortunately. I'd have given this only 1 star, but I previously bought the LE Ouai leave in conditioner fragranced with this, and enjoyed it enough to finish the bottle. I was glad to get an 8ml travel size of the EdP to go on to, but I think I will give it away instead. My partner was quite happy when I used the fragranced conditioner after every wash, but loathed the fragrance when he smelled it on me. Fragrances are usually reformulated slightly for different bases (alcohol, lotion, body wash etc), but not usually enough to make the difference between enjoyment and strong dislike. This one is a definite no from both of us.
