We know that Tatcha likes to pair luxurious ingredients with dreamy textures to help elevate our everyday beauty routine. One of the key ingredients in the Tatcha Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm, $39.00 is camellia oil, which is like a fountain of hydration for your pout. You can really feel it once you start working it into you lips. Packed with antioxidants like vitamins A and C, this formula protects your lips from environmental stressors, which can usually dry your lips and you can really feel when living in a city like London. The lip balm also has tiny 23-karat gold flakes that deliver some extra shine to the lips.

Tatcha Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm Review

Like for many people, lip balms are an everyday essential for me and I always have one in my bag. Because of this habit, I feel like my lips don’t get very dry. Before I tried the Tatcha formula they were probably a two on a scale of one to five.

When I first use the Tatcha lip balm, I found that it applied really nicely onto my lips and felt really smooth. The texture is quite thick, I would say thicker than other lip balms I’ve used before and almost like the consistency of a lip mask, which I wasn't mad at! But this is something to keep in mind for anyone who wants to wear a lipstick on top. I tried applying a lipstick on top of the lip balm, but found the texture didn’t allow for much colour payoff.

I’ll definitely keep using it as my lips felt so hydrated after using it. I also love how the gold flakes add a touch of luxury to the experience. For anyone wondering, I didn’t notice them on my lips when I applied on the lip balm, it’s very subtle. Next step is for me to try the Kissu Lip Mask!

Top line on the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask

Crafted with natural ingredients and Japanese botanicals including peach extract and orange peel, as well as natural squalane, the Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask, $35.00 is formulated to deeply nourish the lips. It can work wonders in a few minutes if you want to apply another product on your lips, but it works best when worn overnight, and you'll wake up with soft, plump lips.

Hanitra's Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask review

Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask Review

Lip masks are such a huge thing at the moment and I’ve read such glowing reviews of the Tatcha one that I knew I had to give it a try! On a daily basis, I don’t think my lips tend to get very dry but I’ll admit that I have a tendency to apply and reapply lip balm or any hydrating lip product throughout the day. I also drink a fair amount of water, which I hear helps keep the lips hydrated.

When I first used the lip mask, the consistency is unsurprisingly a bit jelly-like and sticky. It feels nice and cooling when first applying to the lips, and you can immediately feel that the lips are lot more hydrated. When I woke up the next week, my lips felt so soft, almost like I had just applied lip balm. For anyone who's looking for something super hydrating, this might be it.

I will most definitely keep using the lip mask as it’s slowly made its way into my night routine. Compared to most lip balms I’ve used before, I like that I can actually feel the hydration of the lip mask last overtime and I don’t feel like I constantly need to reapply. I’d recommend this product to anyone but specifically to those who feel they have chronically dry lips and nothing can keep them hydrated, this product will do the trick.

Our Verdict on Tatcha's Lip Products

It's safe to say that both our reviewers instantly became fans of the Tatcha lip balm and lip mask, from the texture to the end result, as well as the luxurious feel of the product.

The pros: Both products will hydrate the lips instantly and overtime, especially the lip mask. The thicker texture will melt into the lip and make them feel more plump and hydrated throughout the night.

The cons: The thick texture can make it difficult to layer with other lip products. If you like a bold lip colour, you might want to remove some of the texture before applying something more pigmented.
