Tried & Tested: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter

Tried & Tested: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter
I don’t think there’s a better way to kickstart 2023 than Charlotte Tilbury dropping a new product, especially when it’s a highlighter. Along with a lot of Space NK customers, I’m a huge fan of the makeup artist’s bestselling Beauty Light Wands, so I had very high expectations for the new Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter – it’s rare that I leave the house without swiping the liquid highlighter across my cheekbones.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve put Charlotte Tilbury’s new highlighter through its paces. Here’s everything you need to know about the Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter.

The Top Line On Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter

Promising to lift, sculpt and of course, highlight, Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter has a soft, satin-like texture and is infused with Light Flex Technology to mimic the flattering lighting tricks used in Hollywood.

Everything You Need To Know About Charlotte Tilbury’s Highlighter

Charlotte Tilbury makes beauty products for the people – regardless of your skillset, age or skin tone, there will be a product and shade for you. Despite knowing this, I’m always blown away with the thought and attention to detail that goes into the formulas and the packaging. The product comes with a helpful face chart on the box to help you with placement, so even if you’ve never used a highlighter before you’ll know where to apply it. While we’re on the topic of packaging, the compact is absolutely gorgeous with the stars.

Moving on to the formula, I love that this highlighter is super lightweight – no matter how many layers you apply. I also really like that the finish isn’t overly glittery. There’s a notable sheen, but you don’t sparkle.

Pillow Talk is my go-to Charlotte Tilbury shade for lipstick, eyeshadow and the Beauty Wand, so I naturally gravitated to it. I find the pinky nude shade so easy to wear.

The colour pay-off is good and I found it lasted all day. The powder lends itself to brush or finger application, I opted for the latter out of habit as I tend to find I achieve a subtler finish. If you want a more intense look, I would recommend using a brush.

The Verdict On Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter

As I mentioned from the offset, I am a firm fan of the Beauty Light Wands. However, Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter is a truly gorgeous highlighter, and a lot of people find a powder gives them more control, especially when it comes to placement. I think the shade range is absolutely divine and while I used Pillow Talk as a highlighter, I think the darker hues would double up as incredible bronzers and contour powders depending on your skin tone.
