We Try Medik8's Highly Anticipated Advanced Liquid Peptides

Only when a formula is the very best it can be, utilising the latest technology and ingredients, will the British brand release it. The result? There are several Medik8 products on our skincare bestsellers list. If you’ve come across the brand it’s likely through its results-driven retinoid serums, or perhaps the skin-brightening vitamin C formulas.
The brand is kickstarting 2025 with a focus on peptides and quite lofty claims. With Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP (a very souped-up version of the Liquid Peptides), the brand promises to ease the appearance of your expression lines in just 10 minutes. Plus, a longer-lasting reduction in wrinkles over the course of eight weeks.
Does this peptide-packed serum deliver on its promises? We put the formula to the test and share our honest Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP review – no holds barred.
Wait, What Are Peptides?
For those not au fait with peptides, they are short chains of amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins like collagen and elastin. They work as communicators in your skin and depending on the blend of amino acids (there are over 20 different types), peptides give your skin instructions. Essentially, peptides help to keep your skin smooth, plump and firm. Want to know more? Read our in-depth guide to the skincare benefits of peptides.
Vanessa’s Medik8 Liquid Peptides Review
• Skin type: Oily and dehydrated

While I’m in my late thirties and definitely planning to get Botox at some point, my current skincare routine isn’t necessarily too focused on reducing the look of my wrinkles. My oily skin tends to get quite clogged and I sometimes (still) get spots, so a big part of my routine focuses on oil and texture control rather than plumping fine lines. My complexion gets dehydrated and dull (especially during the cooler months), so I like rich and hydrating moisturisers – as these often have ‘plumping’ qualities, I suppose they’re usually my main source of ‘age-pausing’ ingredients. Having said that, I’ll use some form of vitamin A in my evening routine most nights (I love Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6, N/A)!
Because my nighttime routine is quite set on vitamin A or acidic products, I decided to try this serum in my morning routine. In all honesty, I fell in love with this serum the minute I put it on my face. The texture is divine! It feels smooth, rich and hydrating, yet super lightweight. It absorbs perfectly and, as someone who has quite a few steps in their AM routine, I was delighted at how well it worked with my other products. There was zero pilling! I’ve been using Medik8 Total Moisture Daily Facial Cream, N/A so it’s not surprising they seem to work well together – however, I did try it with other moisturisers and there was no piling issue whatsoever. I applied my moisturiser, SPF and makeup straight after (there’s no time to spare most mornings!) and everything worked in harmony – this doesn’t always happen so it’s a big win for me!
I’ve been using it for a little under two weeks and I think it’s probably too soon to see a big difference in my expression lines (they’re very deep!), but I do feel like I’m glowing right after applying it, and it’s safe to say it makes my skin look and feel lovely and smooth. As of now I can’t fault this product, I love it!
I’ll definitely keep using it as I feel like my skin has responded really well to it. I love how sensorial the texture is, and I don’t think it’s clogging my pores in any way. I also just love how well it works with all my other current products. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants a little bit of help with fine lines and wrinkles. I’m unsure if someone with dry skin would find it hydrating enough, but I’d say this can be counteracted with a hydrating moisturiser.
Kirsten’s Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP Review
• Skin type: Normal to dry

When to comes combatting signs of ageing, I like to use a retinol in my nighttime skincare routine, it helps with fine lines and wrinkles that could be appearing on my forehead. I started adding this new Medik8 product to my evening routine, along with other products from the brand that I already really like. I really enjoyed the texture of the new Liquid Peptides, it absorbed quickly and felt light on the skin. After applying I went in with Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense, N/A and their night cream and experienced no pilling when using with other products.
I put the new Medik8 Liquid Peptides to the test for over two weeks and I started to see some results. I noticed a reduction in my fine lines on my forehead, so I will definitely keep using this in the future. I didn't get side effects, which is always a good sign because I tend to get red quite easily. I would recommend this product to all skin types, even if you have sensitive skin (always make sure to patch test before!)
As someone who was considering Botox before using the product I am happy with the results so far to avoid injectables. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to reduce fine lines that doesn't want to commit to Botox. You just have to make sure you stay consistent with it and you will start seeing results after a couple of weeks. I am adding this to my Medik8 lineup!
The team's verdict on Medik8's Advanced Liquid Peptides
The pros: Like other Medik8 skincare products, this new formula is easy to incorporate into your routine. Whether you want to use in the morning or evening, the texture blends into the skin easily and works well with the rest of your routine.
The cons: This is quite expected but results do take a while to show, and you have to be quite consistent with using this product. This obviously depends on how your skin before using the product. Make sure you use a hydrating serum and a rich cream when using this product.
