We all have our own traditions and some of us don’t celebrate Christmas at all. TikTok star Frishta G gives us the lowdown on how she spends the festive season…
Festive Feels
Although I’m more of a summer person and love the warmer weather, there’s something about the festive period that gets me every year. It has a cosy feel to it and, most importantly, it’s hot chocolate season. It’s also the time of year when lots of makeup brands unveil their limited-edition holiday collections with glittery, sparkly shades. Not forgetting the festive lights, the potential for snow and the fact that I can get away with wearing tracksuits every day.

Betwixtmas Traditions
Due to my faith, I don’t celebrate Christmas, but my family and I love taking the opportunity to spend time together. As everyone is off work, we always enjoy lots of family gatherings during this time. We’ll binge-watch the most iconic Christmas movies and catch up on what everyone’s been up to. You won’t see any of us at the Boxing Day sales – in fact, I can’t remember the last time I ventured to a shopping centre on Boxing Day because I know how hectic they can be. The build up to New Year’s Eve can be quite emotional for me, because I do a lot of reflecting on the year that has passed.
TikTok Time
While there is a lot of family time over the festive period, I also like to dedicate some time to filming videos for TikTok. During lockdown, I started positing consistently, and that’s where my journey took off. I have always felt that I had a creative side to me that was never fulfilled and TikTok has completed that and I love the community spirit. Pinterest and Instagram are my go-tos for makeup inspiration. I also love creating my own looks from specific makeup things that are trending, such as bleach brows, graphic liner and rhinestones.
Although I love creating these makeup looks online, my day-to-day look is more pared back and focused on a natural glow. I always reach for my Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, € 47,00 and a natural-toned eye palette. If I do want to make my makeup stand out, then I’ll add a nice pink, shimmery shade on my eyelids, but that is pretty much it.
