ByredoMixed Emotions Eau de Parfum, € 145,00
My New Scent Discovery
Just before we went into lockdown our Head Of Education, Niamh Butler introduced me to Byredo Bal d’Afrique and the blend of musk, cedarwood and bergamot became my signature scent. As a fully-fledged Byredo fan, the hype around the brand’s latest scent piqued my interest. To say that this fragrance is of its time would be an understatement. Lockdown has elicited a range of emotions in all of us and the clever combination of violet leaf, blackcurrant and woody undertones makes the experience of this scent just as varied.
Boy SmellsKush Scented Candle, € 37,00
The Crowd-Pleasing Scented Candle
Over the past year, I have burned a lot of candles and this is by far my favourite (and everyone else’s judging by the sales). While there is warmth from the amber and musk notes, there’s also a real freshness to the scent thanks to the green bouquet. Importantly, none of the notes overpower each other, so the room fills balanced and cosy. I have a Kush Scented Candle in the bathroom, bedroom and sitting room.
The OrdinaryNiacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, € 6,00
My Blemish Buster
Whether you battle with acne and oiliness or just want to bat off the odd hormonal breakout, you need this budget-friendly serum in your beauty arsenal. The combination of niacinamide and zinc helps to ease inflammation, refine pores and strengthen your skin barrier. I use it twice a day after my vitamin C serum and just before Dr. Sturm’s cream.
IT CosmeticsBye Bye Under Eye Concealer, € 29,00
My Makeup Must-Have
I spend a lot of time outside or at the stables with my horse, so wearing a lot of makeup isn’t practical. This hard-working, long-lasting, versatile concealer is the one product I won’t leave the house without though. From disguising dark circles to camouflaging any redness and blemishes, it covers everything, and the formula is water-resistant. There are 24 shades, making it a great choice for all skin tones too.
