This carefully formulated blend of antioxidants, retinol and soothing plant extracts helps to refine pore size and reduce the appearance of fine lines and discolouration.

Antioxidants help combat external stressors on the skin, while retinol works to minimise the look of wrinkles for a more youthful complexion. Soothing plant extracts such as liquorice and oats work to reduce redness and inflammation.

Limit use to three times a week initially. Gradually increase use up to once nightly, as tolerated. Apply a pea-sized amount of Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment after cleansing and toning, being careful to avoid the eye and lip area.

Apply a pea-sized amount after cleansing and toning, and then follow with your serum and/or nighttime moisturiser. Avoid the lips, direct contact with the eye, and corners of the eyes. You may apply up to the orbital bone of the eye area. When first using the Clinical 1% Retinol, start with no more than 3 evenings per week, then gradually increase frequency to every other night and, finally, every evening as tolerated.

Saw results

I have been a regular retinol user for a while now so was keen to try this as I have liked other products from this brand. I have used it every night for several weeks and have not experienced any adverse reaction or dryness, despite having sensitive skin (although I never use it close to my delicate under eye area). It has also not caused me to break out which new products often do as I am very acne prone! Best of all, I can see my skin is smoother and more firm and to me a bit more radiant so I will definitely be continuing with this and alternating with the Drunk Elephant A-passioni retinol cream which I also highly rate.

So good!

I am in my mid-30s and have introduced retinol to my nightly routine for over 12 months. I decided to give this a try. I’m onto my third week and although I had some slight peeling and itchiness the first week my skin has now cleared up. My skin looks smoother and feels smoother. There is a slight glow but I do t think it would be that noticeable to others. I’m quite liking this at the moment and it may replace other brands in my cupboard.

Great for sensitive skin

I have quite sensitive skin, and any kind of active can easily break me out or make my skin feel burned or sensitive, but this retinol doesn't make my skin feel bad at all which I love! I tend to use it just around my eyes and on my forehead where in prone to getting fine lines. It seems to do the trick, and doesn't dry my skin out!
