About The Brand

Founded in 2011 in Vancouver by Sasha Plavsic, ILIA is a natural beauty brand, powered by skincare. As someone who struggled with acne and sensitive skin for most of her life, Sasha was looking for makeup products that wouldn’t irritate her skin while providing great colour and coverage. After working as a creative director in big cities like London, LA and NYC, she returned to her home in Vancouver and started getting familiar with organic beauty thanks to her mum. She challenged herself to create a lip balm that was safe for skin and improved the look and texture of lips, and this is how ILIA was born. Her vision was to craft products with natural and organic ingredients that would put skincare results first while providing coverage and colour. She connected with a chemist who helped her push what’s possible—creating makeup that’s powerful, and actually improves skin health, like the Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 30.

Who is it For

ILIA’s motto is to have “Skin that looks like skin”, through formulas that work for all skin types, even the most sensitive ones. ILIA makeup is for those who want to embrace and improve their skin, even on those days when they want to wear makeup, no need to compromise between skincare and makeup.
