Soho Skin: The 6 Products Your Bathroom Needs

Soho Skin: The 6 Products Your Bathroom Needs
Soho House does many things exceptionally well: pool parties at Shoreditch House, martinis at the Greek Street club, idyllic weekends away complete with bike rides and outdoor hot tubs at Soho Farmhouse to name just a few. It’s more than a member’s club, it’s a lifestyle. Non-members can enjoy a slice of the Soho House vibe with the homeware line, including the iconic stripy towels and elegant champagne coupe, and the much-loved bath and body range, Cowshed – the Relax Bath & Body Oil is a requirement for any self-care bath.

Does Soho House’s golden touch stretch to skincare? Our beauty editor has delved into Soho Skin, the debut range of 12 products, to find out if the formulas are as good as the weighty glass packaging.

Soho Skin

Cream Cleanser, € 59,00

At first glance I assumed the packaging of this range is too cool to expect the formulas to be anything other than mediocre. This cleanser, the first product I tried, proved that you definitely shouldn’t judge a book by its cover; the brand has taken the formulations as seriously as the aesthetic. With oat amino acids at the centre of this cleansing cream, your skin is left feeling clean and soft. There’s none of the harshness that some foaming formulas can leave in their wake. It’s a fragrance-free cleanser which can take some getting used to, but the cream-to-foam texture feels truly indulgent.

Soho Skin

Detox Mask, € 69,00

Soho Skin has taken the same balancing approach to this Detox Mask. Full disclosure: I have dry-to-combination skin, so I only used this mask on my T-zone. The thick paste feels like traditional clay mask and contains salicylic acid to help loosen blocked pores, but it doesn’t extract every drop of moisture at the same time thanks to the inclusion of probiotics and plankton. I recommend using a flannel or muslin cloth to rinse away the mask.

Soho Skin

Renewal Serum, € 26,00

A skincare line is only as good as its serum, right? Soho Skin’s doesn’t disappoint if you’re looking for a healthy looking, hydrated glow. Packed full of glycerin (an overlooked hydrating hero) and peptides, this gel-like formula is worth using morning and night to keep your skin’s hydration levels high. I haven’t used it for long enough to know if it helps ease pigmentation, but it certainly leaves skin feeling well-maintained.

Soho Skin

Liquid Exfoliator, € 69,00

Using lactic acid, the gentlest AHA, this exfoliating toner is a great bathroom cabinet staple for just about every skin type. It’s gentle enough to be used two-to-three times a week and helps to slough away dry, dead surface skin without leaving your complexion feeling dry and stripped (thanks to the addition of succinic acid). I’d call it a glow booster.

Soho Skin

Eye Cream, € 59,00

This eye cream is the Soho Skin product I use the most. The cooling metal applicator combined with the lightweight, hydrating formula is honestly a dream to use both in the morning and just before bed. There is something so incredibly soothing and relaxing about gently pressing it into skin. My eye area feels smooth and soft, and any puffiness that I wake up with is noticeably eased after using this.

Soho Skin

24/7 Treatment, € 22,00

I’m going to be honest; I was slightly confused by this product at first. The weighty gel texture and abundance of hyaluronic acid makes it feel like a supercharged serum, but the instructions recommend rinsing it off after 10 minutes. If your skin is thirsty, I highly recommend you leave this treatment on. With vitamin C, lactic acid and hyaluronic acid, the formula resets tired skin and gives it a boost of hydration and radiance. One for the up coming party season I think.

If you’re keen to give a few of these a go to see if Soho Skin products are for you, this discovery kit is a great shout. It’s also a wise investment if you love the brand but want travel-friendly options that are lighter on your luggage allowance.
