Rated 3 out of 5 by from Useful handbag mirror I bought this because it is difficult to find a handbag mirror with a magnified side. This looks smart and is a good size and the mirror part is well made. However, it’s hard to open when you want it to but sometimes opens in your bag so am glad I didn’t pay full price as I don’t think it’s great quality.

One side magnifying which is good for me as I don’t see very well without spectacles or contact lenses. Purchased in the sale so good value. Fortunately I haven’t seen any of the hinge issues yet, mentioned by any others.

Unfortunately, like the other reviewer said, it didn’t really stand up to being used. I think there must be some kind of fault as mine wouldn’t open properly after two weeks. I wouldnt really recommend, unless I was just unlucky?

First impressions were good - it is has a nice weight to it, and closed solidly, so I thought it would last. But unfortunately - after little more than a week - the hinge has 'slid' to the side somewhat and it doesn't close properly any more; it looks like it will break. Really disappointing - I will try to take it back, if possible.
