Brand History
Dr. Howard Murad founded his namesake brand in 1989. A board certified dermatologist and pharmacist, it was one of the first doctor-led brands. Murad was also one of the early adopters of wellness. His philosophy that ‘skincare is healthcare and selfcare’ resulted in Dr. Murad identifying stress as a key skin issue in the 90s, something that continues to shape the brand’s approach to skincare today.
