Wash the hair without washing away colour with the Aveda Color Control™ Shampoo, a nourishing shampoo rich in botanicals designed to help reduce colour fade while hydrating the strands.
Delivering cleansing haircare while protecting colour, the shampoo is formulated with naturally derived ‘magnets’ that help to neutralise colour-dulling particles for a more vibrant appearance, while dual charged molecules create a protective shield to prevent water from penetrating and causing colour washout.
The vegan-friendly shampoo uses botanical cleansers to remove dirt and impurities, while apricot oil nourishes the strands to help keep them hydrated and bouncy. Achieve nourished, silky-soft hair scented with the luscious orange, osmanthus, cypress and cedarwood aroma of Aveda’s Pure-Fume™.

I love this shampoo
Sure it doesn't foam but a little goes a long way and I now don't need to use much conditioner as it already feels so soft and conditioned. I have long, fine, wavy hair (but so much that it looks thick) and a pea sized amount is all I need each wash. I like to shampoo twice because I oil my scalp before washing. Plus I now seem to need to wash my hair less frequently since using this, so huge bonus! I can't understand the negative reviews, they can't be using it right.

If I could give zero stars, I would
Like many of the reviewers below, I've been using Colour Conserve line for 20 years. Fortunately, I only bought the small bottle of this new and supposedly improved version, as I wanted to try it before committing to the 1L bottle, but it's now in the bin. Absolutely terrible. After using it just a couple of times, it made my shoulder-length, wavy hair feel like helmet hair. Felt like it was covered in residue. Now i'm eking out the last few ml of my old Colour Conserve and having to look outside of Aveda for a colour-protecting shampoo. Please bring back Colour Conserve or fix this formula.

Not good
Another loyal customer of Aveda having used your products for nearly 30 years I am so disappointed in this shampoo for coloured hair. It's left my hair feeling like it's not been washed despite using it different ways. I've tried using on soaking wet hair, multiple wash rinses, roots only, entire strands and it just leaves a thick, coated feel on my hair every time. Like some sort of thickening agent fudge. Please bring back the old formula which was fantastic or rework this formula very quickly. My hair is fine and gently wavy with loads of it and this makes me look like I've put on a crimped wig for fancy dress. I've tried it with different conditioners too but sadly those make little difference so it's defo a problem with the shampoo.

So disappointed - it's awful!
I've been a very happy customer of your Color Conserve range for many years so I was a bit disappointed when my local salon (Fresh Lifestyle in Islington) told me that you had discontinued it. However I was told the Color Control range was a new and improved version and sold the litre bottle of shampoo without any word of caution from the salon. I trusted the product would be up to your usual standards so I was really shocked when I used it. It smells really good but it simply doesn't lather (even on 2nd and 3rd applications) and leaves my hair feeling less clean than before washing. I only needed 1 application per wash of the Color Conserve product but with this I'm using about 4 times as much so it will be terrible value for money. It's really not nice to use and I can't understand how it passed in house testing before launch. No hairdresser would like using a product that doesn't lather and doesn't leave hair feeling squeaky clean. I just can't believe how bad it is.

Terrible Shampoo and Conditioner
This product has left my hair sticky and dry ... I have invested in a 1000 ml bottle of both conditioner and shampoo and now I have to get rid of it .....please discontinue and bring back the Colour Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner which I have used for 20 years now !!!!
