Your Questions, Answered

If you rely heavily on heat styling, you need to use a heat protectant (such as K18 HeatBounce Conditioning Heat Protectant) alongside hair oils, deep conditioners, and masks. When styling your hair, work in small sections and don’t hold one spot for too long. Take a break from heat usage when possible (JVN Hair Complete Air Dry Cream is a great option when skipping your blow dryer) and trim your hair regularly.

When it comes to cleaning your hairstyling tools, we recommend you follow the brand’s instructions accordingly. Generally, after removing any loose hairs you can use a damp cloth and gentle cleanser to remove excess residue – just make sure your tool is unplugged and completely cooled down! With brushes and combs, remove loose hairs and soak them in warm, soapy water. Leave them in for a few minutes, use a small brush to scrub them if you have one and let them air dry.

If you’re looking for the best ways to use your styling tools, you’ll find lots of online tutorials and step-by-step guides. Generally, you’ll always want to divide your hair into small sections to work through them (and don’t forget to spritz them with heat protection). Hair stylers like Dyson Airwrap and Airstrait allow for easy and speedy use, as well as intelligent heat control to avoid damage!
