Not cruelty-free and too dark
Poor shade range in the Sisley Phyto-Poudre Compact pressed powder (in addition to not being cruelty-free) is my main gripe with this product. I tried the lightest shade called Rosy. While the undertone is pinkish-cool, which is a rarity in itself, the powder is too dark on my ultra-fair complexion. When I tried applying the powder on top of a shade of foundation that suits me, my complexion was subsequently darkened by the powder, which I find a very common problem. For reference, I use the Hauslabs Triclone Foundation in shade 015, Rose Inc Softlight Skin-smoothing Liquid Foundation in 1C Fair Cool, Ilia Skin Rewind Complexion Stick in 1N Hinoki, Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Concealer in 1RN, Hauslabs Concealer in 01 Fair Neutral, and my favourite ever match was the CT Magic Foundation in shade 00 Fair, to name a few.

My staple now
I have been using this powder for a few years now. While pricey, I try to buy it when there is some offer and stock up that way. I stopped using foundation as I find that with some good moisturizer, it provides sufficient coverage for the day - and i do have oily/larger pore skin. It sits well on the skin and the color shades are very good - I use 2 (natural) and i am quite fair/blond hair. I am not keen on how much packaging they are using- i appreciate the company wants to make it special for the price, but i don't think it really needs the velvet sleeve in inside the box but that is a matter of opinion of course- i am sure somebody will love the velvet sleeve etc.
