Great, works well with makeup on top
I was given this product to review, but I had already tried out various Laura Mercier primers in the past - the brand has a well-deserved reputation for making the best primers. This is just great, feels lovely and smooth and hydrating to apply. I wore it with tinted moisturiser or light foundation on top, no issues with pilling at all and make up definitely lasted longer on the days I was wearing it. It just evens up the skin really well so dry patches aren't an issue.

Love it
I was very fortunate to receive this primer to test and I have to say I’m now hooked ! I have tried many different primers over time and this one has come out on top for me ! It’s very hydrating, not at all greasy ! A little goes a long way ! My foundation went on a lot easier and I found that it stayed put all day! Definitely my favourite primer I would recommend this product. It’s also a very good price !

Fantastic!
I was lucky enough to receive one of these to test/ So far, so good! I've tested it undeneath two different products - a tinted moisturiser and a more conventional, heavier foundation. It worked well with both, but I prefer it with the foundation. I have combination skin and my skin was a little shiny when used with the tinted moisturiser. However, I have some fine undereye lines and it definitely prevented the foundation from creasing and emphasising the lines. It also seems to have good 'grip' -something that other hydrating primers don't always have. My makeup definitely seems to last the day.

Gentle
I can't recommend the Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer Hydrating enough. It is so gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated all day long. I have tried many primers in the past, but this one truly stands out for its gentle touch. If you're looking for a primer that won't irritate your skin, this is the one to go for!

Lovely hydrating primer
This primer is very hydrating. The texture is a gel that is very light weight, perfect over my usual moisturiser. Foundation glides smoothly over this. It helps to keep my make-up on all-day. I have been using it daily for many years now, you can't go wrong!
