mixed feelings
The first time I used it I hated it. The colour was too dark for me and the tan was patchy. I put it in the back of a cupboard and discovered it again a couple of months later and decided to give it another chance- the second time I was less heavy handed in my application and I worked it in well with a tanning mitt and I really liked the resulting colour. I liked it so much I would consider repurchasing. It was however very hard to squeeze the product out of the bottle. In summary- nice moisturising formula, not really a gradual tanner as the description would suggest and anyone with reduced function of their hands would not be able to get the product out of the bottle

I loved it
When using self-tanners my usually normal skin become more dehydrated (probably due to increase usage of scrubs to prep the skin) so I am leaning more and more towards self-tanners that provide more hydration than just waters and mousses. My skin looked so good after this self-tanner gradually came to life. The colour is lovely, not orange-y at all. It was easy to apply and due to quite handsome price, I wasn't worried about the quantities. I apply with mitt so you have to use a lot of it but didn't matter to me.

Prefer others in the range
Because this is a butter I feel like you need to use more to cover your entire body, not the best as mine seemed to last me just under a month with tanning 1-2 times a week. Not the best in the range in my opinion, minimal fake tan smell which is a positive.

Not sure I’d repurchase
Bought a fair few Isle of Paradise products recently to use as gifts for friends since summer holidays abroad were looking fairly unlikely this year. Decided to try one of the body butters myself. I like the container as the product comes out easily. Fairly mild fragrance and goes on well. I would definitely recommend using a tanning mitt rather than hands to apply as I found it came up a bit streaky. Having only tried one or two other brands of tanning products over the years I find it hard to compare but for the times I used it I’d have to say it’s not more than average.

One of the best
This is one of my favorite self-tanners. My skin is a light olive color and this is by far the most natural color of any I have ever used. It does not have that weird self tanner smell. With other self tanners, I’ve experienced dryness and itching after a few days. This doesn’t dry out my skin at all. It never became blotchy on my “tends to be dry” skin. Take your time while applying it it get even coverage. The color is buildable so thin even coats are best. I applied it 2 days in a row to build up to the shade I wanted then about every 3 days to maintain.
