Good product - slightly greasy
Slightly greasy but also gives a good dewy glow. I blend with a sponge and some concealer so to remove some of the 'greasy' look and overall it dries nicely. Good choice in shades as I was able to get my exact color and can adjust in the summer months. Good coverage at 50 spf

Needs lots of blending
I found the coverage of this not great at first, moving over from NARS tinted moisturiser it seemed much heavier on the skin. After choosing to use it with a beauty blender instead of just blending by hand I prefer it, but I’m still not sure I’ll repurchase.

Left me looking greasy
I applied this in store and really liked it so bought V2. I wish I’d asked for a sample to try wearing all day first as it’s not as good as I thought. Firstly though, Ultra Violette are really clear on their site that this is not meant to be used alone as SPF - there just isn’t enough protection from the sheer layer you need to apply. The idea is that it goes on after your SPF 50 or can be mixed with it without reducing the overall SPF. You’d need to cake it on to use it alone. So, the reason I don’t like it now that I’m using it at home is that it’s too dewy and greasy. Even using a very small amount after spf leaves my entire face greasy, just like putting on very rich sun cream. I’m in my forties and have normal-dehydrated skin and it never usually gets greasy but this stays tacky and my fringe sticks to it. Also, the colours are very yellow toned. I’m usually neutral to cool with museum (Hourglass Hyaluronic foundation is Ivory) and got V2 which is quite yellow, but v3 was even yellower. V4 was too dark but v1 was ghostly. As it’s sheer, I expected it to be more forgiving colour-wise but it gives me a yellow tint that’s not that flattering. So I definitely would advise getting the sample sachets which I’ve since found Ultra Violette do have. I prefer Bare Minerals complexion rescue and the Nars tinted moisturiser to this as neither leave me greasy. It’s a shame because I love the SPF and what looked like a great range of colours.

It’s good!
It’s very easy to get a shade match on this, which is good. And of course the SPF is an added bonus and it really does it well on top of other SPF products. The coverage is medium so if you have dark brown hyperpigmentation, then either takes a couple layers to cover it or an extra product on top, but apart from that it’s not bad and really does even at your skin tone

Really disappointing product from a great brand
I had high hopes for this product, as I love the hydrating SPF 50 from Ultra Violette (really recommend that one, if you’re looking for a good SPF), but sadly, I’ve been disappointed. Went into store and asked for a sample, but they’d only colour match me, so I figured I’d give it a go. Unfortunately, most people really struggle to colour match my skin and I frequently find the choices they pick for me are either too dark or too light (usually the former). This particular colour - the lightest shade this product comes in - seemed okay in-store, but when I put it on at home the next day made me look pale and sickly. If you’re looking for an SPF with some colour to it to use instead of a tinted moisturiser, I wouldn’t recommend this product for it. It’s actually a higher coverage than I was expecting: probably light-medium, almost as much as a proper foundation. I tried using both a BeautyBlender and a brush, and the BeautyBlender definitely applied it the best, as it felt a little less heavy - the only downside is less coverage and it soaks up the product a lot, so you end up using quite a bit. I have combination skin and I had to set it down with powder, as it’s quite a tacky finish - annoyingly, this feeling of tackiness didn’t dry down at all and by lunchtime, my skin looked quite greasy. I think I would stick to using the hydrating SPF by UV and a separate tinted moisturiser/light foundation instead. I’d hoped this product might combine the two, but it’s really not worth the price for how poorly it works.
